Everything about Riad Elegancia is absolutely SUPERB - the staff, the rooms, the food, the location, the hammam/spa. From the moment I booked I was impressed. I had email correspondence with Mohammed and Abderrahim who worked to make sure everything for my trip was organized before I arrived and they answered every question I had in detail. I was traveling solo for the first time in a very long time so knowing everything was solidified beforehand allowed me to not stress about logistics. Setting up an airport transfer (both to and from RAK) was extremely easy and the drivers made sure I got to/from my destinations on time. Upon arrival, Mohammed met me at the shuttle drop-off location, took my bags, and walked me to the Riad. As he reviewed my information/documents for check-in I was told to relax and also presented with mint tea and some pastries - if only every check-in experience was like this. After giving me an overview of Marrakech and the things to do/see, Mohammed escorted me to my room (#207) which was filled with so much Moroccan charm. But the charm didn't stop there as the entire Riad was filled with Moroccan architecture that allows you to fully immerse yourself! By far one of the best hotels, I have ever stayed in. Breakfast is included in your stay and when I first heard that I was not expecting the absolute spread that I was presented - juices, tea, coffee, eggs, fruit, yogurt, bread, pastries, nuts, meat, and beyond! I also had dinner one night which was equally as spectacular (and reasonably priced) - definitely try the pastilla! The servers for the meals (I didn't catch their names) are extremely attentive and friendly no matter how many people are at the restaurant - always making sure you are enjoying your food (and swapping out your coffee if it gets too cold)! At the hammam/spa, I booked the Lalla Moulaty package and my experience was out of this world. Namia took such good care of me and made me feel extremely comfortable as it was my first time in a hammam. The massage that followed was arguably the best massage I have ever had in my life - do not miss out, make sure you book one if you stay! The Riad is a short walk from the main attractions of Marrakech (Koutoubia, Jemaa el-Fnaa, Souk) and has a bunch of restaurants nearby. The front desk team is available 24/7 and always answers your questions with a smile. The Riad is also the perfect place to do nothing but relax, journal, hang in the pool/hot tub, and sip some tea! Oh, and to watch the sunset from the rooftop! I will 1000% book with this Riad again the next time I am in Marrakech and cannot thank Mohammed, Abderrahim, Namia, and the rest of the Elegancia team enough for making my time in Morocco so...
Read moreWe were warmly greeted by the delightful team at Riad Elegancia. The bellboy kindly met us at the main road to assist with our luggage. As we entered, we were struck by the Riad’s stunning beauty, especially since it was our first experience staying in one. Our welcome included delicious Moroccan tea and treats, setting a lovely tone for our stay.
The team was very responsive to our inquiries even before our arrival. The Riad’s location is excellent, with many attractions within a 10-minute walking distance.
We stayed for two nights before sadly departing Morocco. Majda was exceptionally friendly and helpful with all our questions. The only minor downside was the charge for coffee pods, which was a first for me despite my extensive travels. However, the cost was reasonable at 20 Dirham per pod.
Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at...
Read moreWow what an amazing riad hotel - a select 11 rooms of pure magic.||Greeted from the taxi we were escorted down the small lanes to a huge wooden door (made us laugh ‘the ring doorbell) - inside was magical! Very ornate walls, mosaic tikes and carved wood. Our host took bag and offered us tea before a tour of the property.||A spa, gym, roof top terrace with pool and eating area. The small bar closed for Ramadan. ||The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. They arranged a guide to take us around the medina (cost around £40-50) and arranged a hot air balloon ride. I would highly recommend both! We also had spa package - amazing experience.||The sister hotel around the corner had a wonderful outdoor restaurant and Jazz bar, well worth a visit too.||I didn't know what to expect from Morocco as first visit - it was friendly, so laid back and 100% i...
