After reading the reviews I contacted the Riad for their food menus. They both looked good so we decided to go with the rooftop menu and made a booking to arrive early for pre dinner drinks. We were escorted along an alley to a different entrance. On arrival only one of the menus were presented to us and it wasnt the rooftop menu. The rooftop with the lanterns is lovely and has a view of Koutoubia mosque. The waiter was a bit of a character. Sadly the food wasn't. The tangia was oily and the salmon tastless. The best bit was the spoonful of ratatouille. The toilets were unkempt and no napkin or dryer to dry your hands. The whinning hungry cats added no value to the atmosphere. The bar was covered in dirty dishes and the service was sloppy at best. All this and an automatic service charge added to an overpriced inflated bill. Think the menu options were a bit of a bluff as there is only one menu available. For a recognised cooking school it was...
Read moreWonderful place in the Northwestern part of the Medina with beautiful decor. We had dinner in the Trois Saveures section. The service was great as pretty much everywhere in Marrakech. Our starters, Red Tuna Tartare and Octopus Salad were tasty and flavorful. However, the entrees (main courses) were rather underwhelming. Very nice and accessible setting with decent food at...
Read moreThis restaurant - we were in the traditional part, apparently there is another room by the pool, is nothing but a tourist trap that is presented as the best Moroccan cuisine can offer, but it’s not. Smell of mothball, poor service (we were given starters which were ordered by another couple, people sitting next to us have been served completely different order, no attention was paid to refill our glasses) and mediocre food. Tagine was dry and couscous was sticky and lumped. I appreciate if was one of the first but it needs to improve. Until then...
