Great hostel with beautiful vibes! The garden and rooftop are absolutely gorgeous. You’ll instantly feel at home the staff serves breakfast every morning and even washes the dishes for you. They turn on the AC at night, which worked fine for me since I wasn’t around during the day. If you are there during the day and ask, they’ll happily switch it on. Both the night and day staff were lovely. One of the younger staff members kindly moved me to an all-girls dorm, even though I’d booked a mixed one, such a thoughtful gesture! They also somehow remember everyone’s names, which I appreciated since mine is quite long 🤭. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, with large lockers (keys provided) and free towels. The cleaning staffs were nice as well. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is booking excursions through the hostel. I booked a day trip to Essaouira for €30, and honestly, it wasn’t worth it. We stopped at an argan oil factory where products were massively overpriced around $66 for items. Which is still super expensive for tourist. No one in my tour bus bought anything because of how overpriced the items were. If you want to visit Essaouira, which I highly recommend because it’s a beautiful, much calmer city than Marrakesh, I’d suggest taking a local bus instead and spending a full day or even two there. You will have a better experience as you won’t have a limited time schedule and it will cost you 90% less if you travel by a local bus.

A super calm hostel on the fringes of the medina but still close to everything! The bed was comfortable and as it was still quite cold everyone had 2 thick blankets. It was overall quite clean and the staff was friendly. The wifi worked really well in the courtyard, not as much in the rooms or on the roof. The roof has some more chairs and tables but you can't see much. If you get up before 9:30 you're served free breakfast. There were 2 showers and 2 toilet cubicles with sinks for the female 6 bed dorm. You also get a small locker with a key, apart from that there's not much space for luggage and other things. There was a kitchen but it seemed to be mainly used by the staff. It would be great if they inform you that payment is cash only beforehand (although there's only one staff member who seems to have an issue with just getting it from the atm the next day if you arrive late). More signage in the alleys leading up to the hostel would be nice as well. When you return, you can't enter the hostel yourself but have to ring and be let it and apparently staff leaves at midnight - that's an important thing to know but wasn't really told to most guests for some reason.

Quiet environment, well located in the medina - close to the sights, the bus and taxi stops, but far enough away for a peaceful night's sleep. Good infrastructure, comfortable and clean rooms, with individual bathroom and air conditioning. Breakfast included and delicious. But the most special part of the stay is undoubtedly being received by Abdel, who, with his kindness and friendship, takes care of all the details with affection, like a great friend, giving tips; and always helping. Negative points: I believe it is worth reinforcing with the other guests, in a visible way, some rules of coexistence: do not turn on the lights after 1 am, keep quiet until 8 am... It is common for some people not to respect them, but with a clear notice to everyone, at least we would be able to ask for more respect from the other guests.

I highly recommend Hostel Laksour to anyone and everyone who is traveling to Marrakech. From the excited, winding streets leading to its entrance I knew that I was in the right place. The shopkeepers and locals inhabiting the tight corridors were friendly and pleased to help us find our way. Upon arrival, Mohammed made check-in a quick and simple process over the most delicious and refreshing mint tea.||The physical structure of the hostel is charming and elegant, inspiring awe and wonder upon first sight; feeling comfort, peace and ease more and more as each day passed. A courtyard full of trees and flowering plants, surrounding a fountain of running water, delighted the senses and cooled the dry heat of summer. The furniture is as comfortable as it is aesthetically pleasing, holding us easily for breakfast, chess and card games, and late night conversations. The kitchen is well-stocked, functional, and full of interesting native artifacts. The roof provides another striking atmosphere for gathering together or alone enjoying the serenity nearer the vast sky. My room provided more than I needed, from the cozy bed with curtains available to the cool air-conditioning and clean bathrooms; in fact, the entire hostel is so well-cleaned and respected that it felt more like home than a shared crash-pad for travelers.||Our hosts and their team of support staff were some of the most welcoming, accommodating, and friendly people I have ever met. They truly made the experience such a pleasurable one and I will not soon forget each of their contributions and camaraderie. Hamsa, Mohammed, Ashraf, and Abdul not only performed their duties with meticulous care and timeliness, but also enriched our days with games and conversations, helpful tips and answers to all questions, heart-warming smiles and joyous laughter - I have made friends which will most certainly draw me back to Marrakech again before too long. Selma and Zara went above and beyond time after time, preparing the most delicious breakfasts and tajines, cleaning everything meticulously, and always with joyfulness and dedicated persistence. Their presence each day satisfied deeply and lifted the spirit. To all of the staff, from the bottom of my heart: thank you for everything!||I found myself sad to leave the hostel, yet hopeful to return someday. I give my full recommendation to all travelers and hope for this hostel to continue it's excellent offering for many...

My brother and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hostel Laksour for two weeks. I decided to stay here originally because it was the cheapest hostel in the area, and the reviews I saw were all positive. I couldn't have been happier with my stay! From the moment I arrived, I was treated like part of the family.

Mohammed welcomed us and provided us with everything we needed. On multiple occasions, when his shift had ended, he took us around the city and showed us his favorite spots. We enjoyed a wonderful exchange of culture while developing a true friendship. He came to visit on his days off to play chess with us and to make sure everything with our stay was as we expected.

Hamza relieved Mohammed and my experience was very similar. He provided us with everything we could have asked for, and more. We had a wonderful exchange and he became a friend that I will continue to keep in touch with. He also stayed long after his work day was over to show us around, provide suggestions for the area, play chess with my brother and I, and he even walked us to a taxi stand to make sure we got a fair price and made it to our next destination safely.

I didn't get to spend as much time with Achraf and Abderazak, but I have nothing but good things to say about these two. They were both incredibly diligent in their duties and they made sure we had the most pleasant experience. They were both very courteous and they went out of their way to ensure all of the guests were properly taken care of.

Salma and Zahra made an amazing team, and I was in awe at how efficient these two women were. The hostel was kept spotless at all times and they went over the top to provide us with a comfortable stay. The food was all homemade and it was truly incredible. I enjoyed every single meal they provided and I cannot thank them enough for the care they put into everything they did.

The most difficult part of my stay here was when I had to leave. I truly felt like we were all a family and it was really hard to say goodbye. I cannot recommend this hostel more, and the next time I am in Marrakech I will be returning to...

As a solo traveller, I tend to lodge in with any hostel that seems have good review in general as well as a good location to Market & sightseeing places but this time turned out to be an absolute disappointing experience. Even a disaster! My suitcase was locked inside the locker with a key to access and my suitcase with a passcode to access as well but it still got searched all over and my emergency money of £150 in cash was stolen in the afternoon right before the day I left and leaving me no time to report to the police and when I tried to talk to the hostel Abdel(he said his mum owns this hostel when I first checked in which turned out not as later on one of new lodgers met the actual boss) , his immediate reaction to the theft was questioning my memory and emphasised that only one key to each locker which was a shock answer to me as I was expecting the solution towards this large amount loss as I knew I aways locked the cabinet and checked if it’s locked before I head out (as a solo traveller, I always to be alert and extra careful) and I took the key with me even in the shower & sleep. My gut feeling this theft is to do with this Hostel itself as I have stayed there with them for 7 days 6 nights whole time solid (no gap) and they would know me well enough by the looks or wearing I appear, so would’ve made myself an easy target for them, other than for one night or two nighters to steal from me as they would not know me or have the time or the key to access the locker because either they have early flight catch next day or early daily excursions pick up ect and I was always the one left the hostel last during the day. So who has the opportunity, time & key to access the locker and steal the money? The answer...
