M Rooftop by Medina Heritage — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

A great place to eat, if you are visiting Souk Semmarine. After wondering around this souk, looking at the amazing aray of small shops, selling almost everything that you could imagine, we started looking around for somewhere to eat. I wanted to be careful, so as not to eat something that inevitably gives us an upset stomach. We spotted this lovely looking place and went in. On entering you walk upto a reception desk, the person there points you to go up the stairs. The first flight of stairs will lead you to a shop, selling many items. A lady at the counter, informed us, that if we wanted the restaurant, we need to go up another flight of stairs. That is where the restaurant is located, on an open top roof. Nicely arranged tables, in a very nice setting. Staff were helpful and polite. And the surrounding view is very nice I had the club sandwich with a side of fries. And my wife had a dish of meatballs in a delicious sauce. This place, by the way, will not serve alcoholic drinks. But you have an aray of drinks to choose from. Once our meal was complete we had to go down to the shop level, to pay the bill. Very nice place to eat as mentioned. Apologies for not providing any pictures, I do have some, but not from my camera. We had dinner here twice. It was so good the first time, we came back a day later.

M Rooftop is located in the old souks, and we found quite easy to find using Google maps as I had saved the location before our holiday.

The entrance on ground floor has an art gallery, and there is a shop selling art and local items which are really nice. The rooftop restaurant is another two levels up, so there’s plenty of stairs but worth the effort.

The sunset views are amazing, and the food was delicious. We had pastry starters, burgers, club sandwiches. Also mocktails were good. The best part for me was our desserts and the mint tea. They were delicious.

We were served by a lovely young lady on first visit, and by a young gentleman Mohsine the second time. Both were very friendly and provided the best service possible.

The portions were a good size, food quality, taste was excellent. This is a top class clean restaurant with top food to match. If you’re in Marrakech, be sure to visit this place. We loved our...

With the lower floors of the venue holding both gallery and craft-shop, the journey up to the rooftop is filled with interesting things.
