As everyone else is saying, this place is a total scam. Our tour guide brought us here and sat down, and the woman put on a whole show, this is clearly a regular racket they run. The woman working there did a great job selling their products, and there were many things we wanted to buy. I asked the price of each item I was interested in individually, and the prices were high compared to everywhere else in Marrakech, but I was willing to pay it because why not contribute to the economy while I'm there. However, when I was hustled up to the register, the amount she stated as she tapped my credit card was literally twice what it should have been based on the prices I was quoted. I was in shock, and thinking I must have made a mistake in my dirham math, and I followed my guide out of the store in shocked confusion. Later, after doing the math again in my head and going over everything, I determined that I hadn't done the math wrong at all, I had truly been charged double. I went back the next morning to demand a refund for everything, and the very nice man working there tried to give me some "free gifts" to make it up to me. I said I just wanted my money back because I had been cheated, and he called the owner, who I spoke to on the phone. He also tried to offer me free gifts, but finally said he would do the refund, but I had to wait an hour and a half for him to get in. I could not, as my group was leaving for a day trip. Long story short, the owner communicated with me over WhatsApp and insisted they would make it right until the next day, when he knew I was getting on a flight. At that point, he ghosted me and got to keep all the money. I know this business doesn't care about these reviews because they make all their money off of tours coming through and unsuspecting people never seeing this feedback, but best believe that next time I'm in Marrakech, I will stand outside their door and tell everyone who walks in that they...
Read moreTL; DR: Seems to be a tourist trap, where the staff (or some paid guys) lures you to enter, and start talking about everything they have, and offer you really expensive cosmetics/medicines. We were on an entirely different street, entered some object to take photos. A guy asked as if we wanted to see the "art museum", which was a basement-like huge room, then asked if we wanted to see how argan oil is traditionally made. He took us through the building to this shop. The guy with a lab coat showed us some certificates (I have not idea, whether these are fake or not) and started talking a lot, offering us multiple product, and of course saying that this is a limited time offer. They are just looking for anything you may want to improve (hair, skin, anything) and offer you a magic medicine for a lot of money. When we finally decided to leave, the guy seemed to be very disappointed, especially when I mentioned marking this place on Maps to return back later, probably he knew what the...
Read moreWe came here as part of a tour. People of the shop were friendly and funny and the first part of the experience was very interesting. However, by the end we felt quite uncomfortable when it came to buying.
Trying out the items was fun and informative, but when it came time to buy, things got a bit uncomfortable. We kept asking for prices but were told âat the endâ each time. By that point, it felt awkward to start removing items from our basket. In the end, the total was quite high, especially compared to other similar places we visited. We were also charged 10⏠for using a credit card, which we later found out was unusually high since no other place in Morocco charged us such fees.
On top of that, even though I mentioned I was vegan, I was sold a cream that contained camel grease, which was disappointing.
Overall, I would still recommend the visit. I just wish we had been informed more about what to expect at...
