RESTAURANT LE KILIM — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

We went here two times for dinner and one time for breakfast and this is what I think:

Overall the place is beautiful and has a very nice atmosphere to it! The first time we had an amazing experience. Great food, amazing friendly staff. What I really like is the large variety of vegetarian options (although some are missing a "v" Sign on the menu). I LOVED the roasted cauliflower. Would definitely recommend this one!

The breakfast was very good as well! Fresh bread, juices, Omelettes and mint tea. We liked it a lot

The second dinner sadly wasn’t that good. The restaurant was noticeably more crowded, though nowhere near full capacity. It took our food about 40 minutes to be served. The cauliflower wasn’t close as good as the first time. It was overcooked and not as tasty. The Gnocchis were quite cold, and the fries were not served. Actually, they were supposed to be served later, but when we finished eating they were still not there, so we didn't have them come either.

Overall we felt that the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed.

But still. If the restaurant makes sure to work on that I WOULD STILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place as the food is delicious when everything works out. The staff is always friendly and...

There were about 5-10 servers in the restaurant, and only us two customers most of the time. It took us a long time to get anyone's attention, multiple times. Especially when we needed the check (my friend needed to hurry to the airport at that point, because how long the service took)- we both literally had to call out the servers "excuse me", more than 10 times! Not even exaggerating- and they were just standing there in front of the door, looking at their phone!

And even when I asked where the bathroom was, one of the skinny tall servers mocked me before finally telling me where it was.

I was excited to be a regular at this restaurant based on the reviews I read and because it's closeby, but I don't think I will ever go back again, nor recommend to any of my friends. In fact I feel bad that I asked my friend to dine at...

The food isn’t bad, but in no way worth the price and portions are small.

We also had a bad experience with the staff.

Firstly when asked about paying with card they said it wasn’t working today. This is a fairly standard response since many places do not want to pay the conversion fee.

However, later when I saw another table paying with card and brought this up with the waiter he proceeded to make up a story and continue to lie to my face about how it just began to work.

Additionally the same waiter collected all our cash when we paid separately and mixed up the change and tips. He took over 20 minutes to sort out the change and angrily demanded money back after he miscounted.

Do yourself a favour and go to a local place and eat cheaper and better...
