We were welcomed by helpful hotel staff and check in went smoothly. ||Our room was massive, with a ton of storage space, a safe that didn't work, a bathtub and shower, lots of electrical outlets, a hair dryer, a bidet, a heat pump for AC, and very comfortable beds. There were three - THREE! - beds in our room.||The hotel is very close to the number 1 bus, and that bus will take you to the souk/big mosque for 4 Dirham (exact change required). You could actually walk to the souk in about half an hour and it's a very easy to remember route.||There is an attached café/restaurant with mediocre food but great mint tea.||The breakfast was pretty good with the usual Moroccan stuff available, but also included chocolate-filled croissants.||There are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby.||The neighborhood felt very safe and was quite...
Read moreCame back to my room after light rain to find it flooded. Staff tried to convince me this was a good thing. I expressed my dissatisfaction and the staff then proceeded to take the only face towel provided to dry the floor with their feet. I then repeated my expression of dissatisfaction and requested a non leaking room. Apparently of the advertised 141 rooms there is only 1 available on ground level facing the busy street with lots of noise.
Other issues include: Mould. Intermittent hot water. Weak & noisy AC. Cramped and dated bathroom. Lack of drinking water. kettle, coffee or tea in the room. Tired and old furnishings from the 1980s Mini fridge that does not stay powered when you leave the room.
Not a 4 star hotel....

Our room had a balcony which overlooked the street below and you could see the mountains. The hotel is not very close to the medina as it is located in the new town however this is what makes it affordable, it takes approx 30 mins to walk to the main square from the hotel or you can get the bus or a taxi. The breakfast was okay but the pastries were a bit stale. The reception desk were very helpful, organising a taxi to the airport and helping us to print our...
