When people say it's cheap, I don't really agree that much considering you can get cheaper hotels with same or better standard. The room has no window so it gets pretty dark, the shower water is tricky sometimes you get hot water sometimes you don't. Not enough toilets and showers in the hotel overall. Wr didn't have towels in the rooms, only after we asked we got one towel. Bring your shampoo and shower gel. The location is perfect though, next to main square and bazaars. They organise trips you can buy but we've had a bad experience with a trip to Ourzazate. It says that only transport is included, so naturally we expected to be dropped off in Ourzazate and have a day to do whatever we want and then get back. Instead, we went to some nearby village, spent 3h there, people were forced to walk up the hill to some landmark and pay 40 dirhams per person which we refused to do and we had to hang around for 3 hours to wait for the group to come back and have their food in a restaurant. They were paying 40 dirhams in the same restaurant, we think its a scam trip and restaurant mist have some deal with drivers so they take people there instead of Ourzazate. The local guide in village said we still have to pay even if we didn't go with them and said if we don't well have to take taxi to Marrakech. Luckily my partner reasoned with him and gave him 20 dirham just so we don't get ditched in the middle of desert. After this terrible 3 hours in a place we never wanted to visit, we went to Ourzazate for 20 minutes! That was it!!! And then off to Marrakech. So don't get fooled and pay for the trips they advertise in hotel. Just take public transport. It was awful. The staff in the hotel are very polite though and the guy did mention not to take.this particular trip as its not enough time to see Ourzazate in a day but he did not mention the village scam.bit. You're probably better off going on package holidays guys. The rooms are clean but that's about it. It gets...
Read moreLiked: Of course I have stayed in better Riads in Morocco, but for the price I paid, I can't fault it too much. My room had two beds, a clothes rack, a window, a nightstand and a small sink with a mirror, all very basic but clean in general, I only found a couple of hairs on my sheets but I understand that this may be from the cleaning girls. They also gave me towels. I always found the shared bathroom and shared shower on the ground floor in good condition, and I never had problems with hot water. What I would like to mention and highlight is the kindness of the guys at the Reception, Mohamed and the night receptionist, both very friendly, always willing to help, and extremely welcoming! Disliked: In my opinion, the sink is tiny, and it would also be nice to have a small closet or hangers to hang clothes. The temperature of the rooms at night, it was very cold, but in my case, having two beds, I was able to use the two blankets and thank goodness, because I needed them. In 5 nights, I did not notice that my room was cleaned, a rather negative point for me. It would be great if they also offered breakfast, even if it was basic, like most accommodations in the area. In short, good value for money for the area, I would definitely recommend it for anyone who needs a simple place to sleep in the heart...
Read moreExcellent location, close to the main square and souks. A few small shops nearby to grab some essentials although the path to the hotel can be quite shady. Very basic room, with 2 beds, 1 sink, a small side table and the staff provided an extension cord. Stayed in the room on the ground level and it can be quite noisy at night with people are chatting in the courtyard but we slept through it without a problem. There is a toilet on the ground floor and 2 showers on the first floor. Although soap was provided in the toilet, there wasn't a sink, only a tap and a bucket which I am not sure if it could be used for washing hands. Would be great if soap was also provided at the sink in the...
