First time visiting Marrakech and stumbled across this beautiful restaurant whilst wondering through the markets.
Locals outside aswell as people leaving the restaurant recommended it to us, saying it was newly opened and served amazing lebanese food so we had to try :)
The vibe of the place is clean and welcoming, we were seated on the terrace which felt like a lovely break away from the busyness of the souks.
Me and my sisters ordered the Taouk Wrap, Taouk Plate, Mixed Mezze and Fattoush Salad all to share.
Whilst waiting for our food to arrive we were offered complementary bread and what I think was a date and olive spread ( can’t actually remember what it was made from but it was delicious and paired beautifully with the bread! )
The food was all 10/10 and perhaps the best meal we had during our holiday :) We particularly enjoyed the mezze dips like muhammara and baba ganoush which paired nicely with the chicken from the Taouk Plate and salad. The flavours of everything were amazing and we couldn’t fault anything from the entire spread.
We also got the Mojito and Homemade Peach Ice Teas which were super refreshing in the heat!
After our meal we were offered tea and desserts free of charge which was such a treat and added to the overall amazing and relaxing experience.
We’d like to thank the manager and waiting staff who made our experience at Ben Jamil so welcoming and comfortable for us and we pray Allah swt continues to bless the business and grant them success moving forward,...
Read moreOn March 3rd 2025, three of us visited Ben Jamil after hearing great things about the food. The restaurant is conveniently located just off the main square. While there is seating available on the 1st floor, we chose a table on the terrace, which is accessible via an almost spiral staircase. The decor, both upstairs and downstairs, is light and bright.
The waiting staff were friendly and accommodating, making our experience pleasant. The menu was concise, which made our choices easier: we ordered one large bottle of still mineral water, one falafel wrap with fries (vegetarian), and a mezzés plate for two (also vegetarian), served with bread on the side. Meat options are available for both dishes if desired.
The food did not disappoint; it was all freshly made, delicious, and filling. The total cost for the three of us was 215.00 MAD, but we rounded it up to 250 MAD because the food and service were outstanding (about £20.00 in total). Before we left, the manager or owner asked for our feedback on the food and service, and we told him both were excellent. I look forward to returning...
Read moreBen Jamil is an absolute gem for Lebanese cuisine! From the moment you step inside, you are welcomed with warm hospitality and an atmosphere that feels both authentic and inviting.
The menu is a delightful journey through traditional Lebanese flavors, offering everything from freshly made hummus and tabbouleh to perfectly grilled meats and fragrant rice dishes. Each dish is prepared with high-quality ingredients, and you can truly taste the love and tradition in every bite.
One of the highlights is the mezze selection, where you can try a variety of small dishes – the falafel is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the baba ghanoush has a perfect smoky depth. The main courses are just as impressive, with juicy Shish Taouk and tender Lamb Kofta being standout options.
To top it off, the homemade baklava and a cup of Lebanese coffee provide the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
Overall, Ben Jamil is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Lebanese food, a cozy ambiance, and top-notch service. Highly...
