I do not recommend at all this Hostel, one of the worst experience ever had. First thing the name is not appropriate because is not an Hotel but an Hostel (there is also the target on the main door that say Peace Hostel). I booked a room with the external private bathroom but actually the bathroom is shared and not private so it is a controversial and not true thing. They sell something very different from the reality. The room is very small, claustrophobic, there is no window and it seems like a bunker so I do not recommend the room at the ground floor, because the light is disturbing and there is the constant feeling to not breathe good and there is a lot of noise from the street. Moreover there is no closet, no place to put your stuff, no space in general to move or where to open the luggage. There are no towels, dining table, hairdryer (they were put in the list of the included amenities) and the Wi-Fi does do not work good as such the telephone internet connection (I had the Orange SIM card that is one of the best and works more or less everywhere). The cleanliness is not so good, we found hair in the pillows and in the sheets and the bathroom floor was full of water at our arrival. The breakfast is included but the second they they didn’t serve it. It is in the terrace (last floor) and it starts from 8 am: we waited 50 minutes for it but none came and nothing was in there so simply they didn’t serve the breakfast that day, without giving any advise. I also try to contact the property in they WhatsApp number but they didn’t answer for more than one hour. The owner just answer to my second call tell me sorry for the breakfast, but he did not know why it was not served, perhaps because the person in charge did not wake up. And in the room next to the terrace there was a guy who was sleeping. So be prepared that things like this can happen: not having the breakfast and be completely ignored. I absolutely do not recommend this place for your stay in Marrakech because there are a lot of other structure, more beautiful, more comfortable, more central-located and less expensive than this one. The value for this hostel do not exist and it has ruined part of my vacation. The disservice was huge, the lack of comunication also and they didn’t propose any other solution, or excuse in front of our problem and in front of their terrible way to work. Considering that I did not have my breakfast for their fault and without any explanation or answer or a try from their side to listen my complain, I contact the Booking.com service asking for a compensation and the only answer from the owner was that they serve it the breakfast, practically telling that I was a liar and be in contrast with his same words during our phone call, i.e that he was sorry and maybe the person in charge of the breakfast did not wake up. In any case I made pictures and screen that confirm my version. This is not the proper way to treat a guest and to host them, actually this the worst way to treat a person who chose your place as accommodation for his trip and pay for that. I really hope that the money that I have completely wasted will be used for something useful, maybe a class that will teach them how they...
Read moreThis hostel was by far the most shocking place I have ever stayed in. Upon arrival, we were shown to a double room with dirty bedsheets on the bed. It was early, so the owner told us that a cleaner would come and clean while we were out. Later that night when we returned, we were shocked to find that although the bed had been made, the sheets had not been changed. They were stained, covered in hair and smelt dirty. The bathrooms were basic but pleasant. ||||The next day we asked the owner if we were able to leave our bags during the day and pick them up in the evening, as we had done with every other hostel we had stayed in in Morocco. The owner refused to accommodate us, informing us that we had to remove our bags before checkout time. The last straw for us was over breakfast. Breakfast was included with the price of the room, and so when the owner offered us tea and coffee, we were led to believe that it was also included in the price. However, upon departure, and despite not having informed us when he offered us the hot drinks, he attempted to charge us 10 dirham per drink. ||||We are absolutely disgusted with the state of the room and the owners’ shocking hospitality. We would not recommend this stay to anybody. Spend an extra few pounds, it will...
Read moreI used hotels.com (which I have used in several different countries) and pre booked the triple room, which was the only available space, over new year. I pre paid the room as we needed cash for everything else. ||We arrived after a very long days journey wanted to check in and a young man answered the door. We were shown in and the young man was not aware of our booking. I showed him my confirmation e mail and showing that it was all pre paid. He did not understand and said that they do not deal with out side agencies, they only deal with cash. We remained calm and kept explaining that we have a booking. Still kept saying cash. He then said the only room available was the triple room, which I had pre booked! And asked for cash for this room before we could be shown. We did not was to do this so we left to find altenative accommadation. Hotels.com that night tried to ring them to sort it out as they confimed I had a booking and they did not answer their phones. ||I have never experienced such an awful...
