The riad was beautiful - rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and the rooftop pool, although small, was a welcome area of peace and relaxation amongst the craziness of the city. Location wasn’t bad - about 15 minute walk into the centre but be warned that it cannot be accessed by taxis, so we were dropped off a fair way away. The staff were friendly but we had a few small issues. Upon arrival, they said they didn’t have our booking - despite the fact that we had email confirmation and could see our name on their computer screen. They then said they did get the booking but didn’t think we were coming so hadn’t saved our room. Eventually they were able to offer separate rooms rather than the one we had booked but it was better than nothing, so we accepted. Breakfast was very carb/fat heavy and we weren’t given a choice - no fruit or toast or anything that we would really eat, so that was wasted. We asked for water with breakfast and that was added as an extra charge at checkout which seemed unnecessary. When we left, they offered to book a taxi to our next hotel, which we were grateful for but we later learned that they had hugely overcharged us (well over double what we should have paid) which again seemed unnecessary. For those reasons, although it was a lovely riad, we personally...
Read moreOur staying in this riad was absolutely perfect. The staff is great and makes you feel like home, always there for you to solve any doubt (and not only in place, they are also very responsive on Booking/WhatsApp, which was absolutely crucial to our trip, since we went 2 days after the earthquake) or to give you some tips to your trip. We couldn't ask for a better place to chill, very close to the main points of the city so you can rest a bit during the hottest hours (we highly recommend the rooftop pool for this) and then go back to discover a bit more. |The best tip we can give you is to have lunch/dinner in the riad, trust us! We had dinner there 1 night and can guarantee you that it was the most delicious meal we had during our 4 days in Marrakech. Not to mention the amazing breakfast we had every morning! |It was our first time in Marrakech and all I can say is that it will not be the last and this riad is one of the reasons why we say that. We recommend it so much that our only fear is they are fully booked the next time we...
Read moreWe have just returned from a fabulous week long stay at Riad 64. The Riad is just off the Medina amongst the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Rooms are spacious and offer great value for money with a day time menu of food and drinks being readily available. The Riad has a sitting area downstairs with a rooftop terrace and pool which is a lovely addition and the perfect opportunity to relax for a few hours away from the crowds. A big thank you to Abdou and Bidra who made our stay so memorable. Thank you for your kindness, and most of all patience in trying to understand a strong Scottish accent. The gents and staff were great with us all week and their humour was greatly appreciated. We wish everyone at Riad 64 the very best for the future....
