What a magnificent place we had found ourselves with the Riad du Rabbin. Once you enter through the silverplated portal you are welcomed with the local speciality,a herbal ment tea and a hearty smile. This smile actually never stops. These folks are really happy to make your stay as memorable as possible. They are polite, taking care of every need and actually manage to read your thoughts when they serve lil' complimentary dishes to fulfill culinary wishes. The chef has learned his stuff in a high end Luxury Hotel cause she skillfully merges traditional cooking with french cuisine and creates a rich and healthy pan mediteranean cuisine. I can only recommend you to book a massage in the in-house hamam. I was really excited as i ve always heard of these oriental massages, but never had one before. I have to say it was really rewarding. I felt completely rejuvenated afterwards and the best thing was that it only cost me 30 bugs which is a bargain to be honest. Overall i must say that the price/value ratio in this place was excellent not like the classical rip off you encounter in the four star plus houses where they charge you 10 $ for a bottle of tab water. This is really the most personal form of luxury i have ever encountered. Made me and my wife feel like oriental pachas ;-) I am sure your stay here will be as...
Read moreAlong with 5 friends, we visited Marrakech for New Year and had the absolute pleasure of staying in Riad du Rabbin. With just 8 rooms, you are truly welcomed into the family and treated like royalty by the superb staff. Latifa is there to suggest places for dinner, trips to take and places to see. The rooms are exquisite, no expense has been sparred on the detail and the experience is 100% authentic. The location of the riad is also superb, situAted in the heart of the Mellah ( old Jewish quarter), with the Bahia palace just behind and the main Jema al Fna square a fascinating 5 minute walk away. There is a huge selection of restaurants surrounding and the atmosphere is buzzing. We felt really safe and enjoyed getting the know the locals in the surrounding streets. I suggest booking a pickup with Latifa before you arrive so that there is no stress of finding the stret when you come from the airport. Very. Reasonably priced and worth it! ||We can strongly recommend a stay here and are already planning our return trip for October. We would like to thank Conny and her staff, Latifa, Omar and Jemilla particularly for just being such...
Read moreThe riad is in a quieter part of the city at the edge of the mellah, and it is very pretty to look at, but we found that the place was eerily quiet most of the time we were there and we felt very much on our own in a not very comfortable way. The amenities are nice, the room is pleasant, but with only 3 rooms and a manager whose presence was limited, we found we were alone much of the time we were there. While a small riad could feel intimate, this did not - rather, it felt rather lacking in much human interaction. It didn't lack for amenities and generally it is attractive, and breakfast was good, so it's certainly a decent place to stay; but it missed the...
