Riad Maipa exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The delightful hosts, Emanuele and Lilliya, provided a genuinely warm welcome, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Their passion for hospitality and their dedication to their guests' comfort truly set the tone for my entire stay.
Nestled in the heart of Marrakesh, just 5 minutes from the bustling square, Riad Maipa is a beautifully restored traditional Moroccan building with a touch of modern amenities.
Despite its central location, the riad was quiet and relaxing, providing an ideal base for exploring the city and beyond.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a delicious welcome tea, which was the perfect introduction to Moroccan culture and the exceptional hospitality of Riad Maipa.
The daily breakfast was a delightful treat I looked forward to (even though I'm the kind of person who doesn't eat breakfast), featuring fresh, tasty, and abundant local food, accompanied by excellent coffee.
Emanuele and Lilliya's expertise in organizing excursions truly elevated my experience in Morocco. They arranged a memorable desert excursion on quads and camels for me, ensuring my safety and enjoyment throughout the trip.
The riad's rooftop pool and terrace provided a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. It was an ideal spot for relaxation, and I found myself spending many peaceful moments there, soaking in the sun and enjoying the ambiance.
The staff at Riad Maipa were attentive, professional, and hardworking, always going the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
I recommend Riad Maipa to anyone seeking an authentic, relaxing, and central base for their stay in Marrakech. Emanuele, Lilliya, and their team have created a charming oasis that offers a genuine taste of Moroccan hospitality.
I look forward to returning to this enchanting haven on my next visit...
Read moreWe stayed at Riad Maipa for four nights and had a wonderful time. It is charming, well located, and very relaxing.||The riad itself if beautiful: comfortable and colourful: both in the private and common spaces. The riad is relatively new, having been recently restored and it is indeed very obvious that it was a labour of love.||Location wise it was very well located- close walk (4 min) to the main square and walkable (10-30 min) to other parts of the city (Mellah, Hivernage, Guerlitz, Kasbah) and is just off of a main path in the medina which means it was always busy. This was great because even at night there were people around so walking around felt very safe.||The entire team there was absolutely delightful: warm, accommodating, and very professional. Yassim in particular was a joy!||We stayed in the Bourganviller suite which is on the 2nd floor (the only room on this floor) and it was beautifully designed but more importantly, vVERY QUIET and cozy. I slept so well there and woke up every morning feeling well rested. The call to prayer is audible but that's pretty much anywhere and it wasn't that loud (didn't wake me up) as they have done a great job at soundproofing.||Breakfast was excellent: plentiful, lots of variety including cheeses, fruit, fresh fruit juice and coffee, fresh baked goods, and a special daily egg dish. A great way to start each morning.||We'd stay again (and hope to) and...
