I am glad i had heard about this hotel before I booked my trip. I found myself being pleasantly surprised by everything there. The room was clean, a good size, with a beautiful view of Thamel and the mountains. It also had a small balcony that allowed a better view of the city.

I enjoyed the included breakfast buffet each morning and was surprised that it had a rotating list of dishes, so you do not see the same options every morning. I also had dinner twice at the hotel because I was too tired from a day of sight seeing to go out to find something. Both times the meal was more than expected and very affordable.

They have a spa located on the premises that unfortunately I was only able to use once. I got a simple hour massage that was a great help for travel weary muscles. They also have a sauna and steam bath. I am sad I did not take advantage, but time was short for my trip.

Above all the thing that made my stay here so wonderful was the staff. I got to know so many of the people that work at Hotel Thamel Park, it felt like I was leaving family by the end.
