Very, very expensive by Nepal standards. I usually have unlimited thali for 200 to 350 nep rups in lots of different restaurants. Here each dish is from 400 to 600 rups each. Dishes are a decent portion, however its uk prices for some items which is crazy. Taste would be better if they had made my dishes with less salt. And i requested spicy, but absolutely zero fresh chillies used. Found both mains on the salty side. The bread was not good at all as too doughy. First bread was acceptable, but second extremely thick doughy and as you can see charred to death. Also I had to request for my table to be cleared after eating so i could drink some tea. I did like sitting here though as had comfortable seat in the area i wanted 1.530 nep rups for one person. No alcohol. Only one tea. I was enjoying the tranquility of sitting in a quiet restaurant. Soon after a couple came in. It was still of normal decibels. Then the restaurant was overrun by the loudest Germans i had ever heard. They were sitting on the table shouting at each other, not talking. I think they could be heard back home without phones. I could hear and understand their entire conversations. Perhaps these people were deaf, or special? I left the restaurant with my ears ringing from their shouting. I feel so sorry for the diners sitting on the next table, as mine was the furthest away and it...

We walked into this nondescript restaurant (on 2nd floor with staircase entrance on street level) and were a little sceptical. Service was good, the staff spoke English and let us know that they are 100% vegetarian & do not cook with onions/garlic. That’s always a plus point for me!
We ordered the chole bhatura, veg chowmein and a honey lemon drink. Food dishes were delicious. The bhatura is not the typical one, it has a little hint of sweetness but it is cooked fresh and delicious!!! The chole is good too. The veg chowmein is very flavourful and in the right quantity (not small). The drink was alright, felt like the lemon may have been a syrup. Total bill was 810 NPR.
To conclude, we were happy, tummy satisfied and will...

Hare Krsna devotees. I came for takeaway food. The missi roti was horrible. Immediately the smell was wrong, as if made with rancid oil. Very dry. Tasteless. Clearly it was made days ago, not fresh. Million times better for 120 rupees at Satkar vegetarian restaurant. Glad I didn't invest any real.money at Amnakoot. Terribly disappointing. It came too quickly. Fresh missi roti takes time and the finest ingredients- chili, onion (Vaishnavas won't nake it wit this if course) , turmeric etc. Plus the mist important - besan flour that was not ground decades ago. Ir was it the wheat or more likely the oil. I risked food poisoning so discarded it after ejecting one bite.
Pleasant service, large tables and clean kitchen...
