Hotel Triratna — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

I had been to this hotel twice. Once in the year 2022 and the 2nd time, in 2024. I must say that the building has been renovated to a certain extent. However, the staff service has been degraded over the years.

Single room (without attached bathroom) costed 800 NPR. Single room (with attached bathroom) costed 1800 NPR.

I chose the latter option, as the former option was sold out and I had to stay there only for a night. But, i must say that the service was awful as there was no hot water service. Upon asking the staff early morning (at around 6AM) - they said 'no hot water at the moment'.

It appears that they shall allow hot water supply only as per their convenience & not when the customer asks. Regretted staying at this...

No water in toilets for days on end. No hot water for a shower, the same, so very often. Winter in this place is lethal, literally. Windows blocked, cannot close them. 0 heating, and they would not even let you pay for electric heating too! Be very, very careful with your cash. Very kind and attentive receptionist. Rooms are average, but clean. Hot water is really avaiable, not just advertised. Wifi works okay for western standarts and internet connection was strong and avaiable all 3 days we spent here.

All the electric outlets were working and were in good shape.

For its price range this hotel is the best
