Yala hotel was the first place I stayed in Nepal and it was my best experience so far. I love the people there sooooo much. They are so friendly, helpful, cheerful, supportive and patient all the time. And they tried their best to offer the best service to make my stay there happy and comfortable. The staff Isha, Mangal, Milan, Aashish, they were so good to me, always helped me with everything I need. When I was very sick, and Isha accompanied me to see a doctor and Aashish also tried to make Chinese porridge for me. And Mangal boiled water and took it to me, and offered me another blanket. I felt Yala is like my family in Nepal and because of all the lovely people there I met and my stay is so beautiful and warm. And even these lovely people hang out with me to show me the interesting and beautiful places in Kathmandu and made my traveling experience more special and fun. Except the staff there are great, the bosses Durga and Kurmar are also so good. We had nice chat about the hotel, trekking, and Nepal. They are always helpful whenever I need help. And also the food at Yala cafe is wonderful too and I always talked to the co-chef Aashish about the order I was going to have and tell him the requests I had , also asked how he would cook it. And after I finished the food, he also always asked me about the feedback. Yala is the best place I’ve stayed in Kathmandu and I love the people...
Read moreHotel Yala Peak – A Cozy Gem in the Heart of ThamelI recently stayed at Hotel Yala Peak during my visit to Kathmandu, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Tucked away in a quiet alley in the bustling Thamel area, this hotel is the perfect balance between peace and convenience.Rooms: The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Mine had a great view of the inner courtyard, and the bed was surprisingly soft. Hot water and good Wi-Fi were consistently available, which is a big plus!Service: The staff here are truly outstanding. Friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether it was arranging airport pickups, tours, or just recommending places to eat, they went above and beyond.Location: Ideal for tourists. You're minutes away from shops, restaurants, and trekking gear stores, but the hotel is just far enough from the main street to feel calm and relaxed.Price: Great value for money. The rates are budget-friendly without compromising on comfort or cleanliness.Extras: They also offer luggage storage for trekkers, which is super convenient, and the rooftop is a nice place to unwind.Overall: Highly recommended for solo travelers, couples, and trekkers. If you're looking for a safe, clean, and affordable place in Kathmandu with genuine hospitality, Hotel Yala Peak is a...
Read moreOver the past three years, I have made several trips to Kathmandu for my research. Except for the first time, I have stayed at Hotel Yala Peak. It’s an affordable hotel in Thamel. The best thing about it is that it is located in a one-way side lane off Narsingh Chok. Thanks to its location, it’s peacefully tucked away in the quiet midst of bustling Thamel. It’s an excellent spot to explore Thamel from. My favourite aspect is that there are great bookshops within a short walking distance, along with a variety of cafes and restaurants.|The rooms are a good size and clean. You have a choice of an air-conditioned room or a room with a fan. On a couple of floors, there are terrace-like areas with tables and chairs, perfect for working, reading or simply relaxing. Wi-Fi connectivity is available.|The staff are very helpful, and nothing is too much trouble – from assisting with luggage to organising transportation. On several occasions, they helped organise a car to take me to Kathmandu University, waited for me, and then took me back to the hotel. |Located on the ground floor is Yala Café. The café has both indoor and outdoor garden-like seating. It’s quiet. The food is great, consistent, and offers a choice between Nepali and...
