Lakhey Hotel Pvt. Ltd. — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

My husband and I spent there 2 weeks in January 2024. The hotel is probably a great choice for 1-2 nights for backpackers, and it's quite new (as per early 2024) but it does not provide good comfort level for longer stays. Here are the details:

Room The room looked fresh with new furniture and renovation, and the bed was wide and very comfortable. There was also a small table with a kettle, plus a separate table and two chairs. However, storage was inconvenient: no proper wardrobe, no hangers, no drawers, only narrow and very high shelves. The room was cold, and the heater took a long time to warm up and was difficult to regulate. One chair even broke twice during our one-week stay.

Bathroom The shower was frustrating to use: it took a long time to heat up, and once hot, it was nearly impossible to lower the temperature, combined with weak water pressure. Towels had a faint unpleasant smell, and there were no hooks until we asked for them.

Breakfast Breakfasts were simple and light, with fruits and vegetables, but repeated every day and lacked any meat or fish options—only eggs were served.

Facilities & Storage There was no fridge in the room, though the staff kindly allowed me to keep my medicine in the kitchen fridge. The main door was also inconvenient: when shut, it didn’t close properly and started beeping loudly after a few seconds, which became very annoying if someone forgot to close it early in the morning.

Other The internet was slow, and devices had trouble staying connected. On the positive side, the hotel looked beautiful, the lobby was stylish, and the staff were very polite...

An Exceptional Stay at Hotel Lakhey! I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Hotel Lakhey! The location is fantastic—just near Thamel Road, making it a perfect spot for exploring the vibrant streets of Kathmandu.

The staff were incredibly courteous and hospitable, always greeting us with warm smiles and going out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the hotel’s impeccable cleanliness. The rooms were immaculately maintained, spacious, and well-equipped with all necessary amenities.

Another highlight was their travel assistance. They seamlessly arranged our trips. They facilitate tours to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), Everest Base Camp (EBC), Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan and many more exciting places. Their tour packages were well-organized, covering everything from transportation to accommodation, making our journey hassle-free. They even provided door-to-door service, which made traveling incredibly convenient.

Overall, Hotel Lakhey exceeded my expectations in every way. Their commitment to ensuring a memorable stay is truly commendable. If you're visiting Kathmandu and looking for a comfortable, well-located, and service-oriented hotel, I highly recommend staying here!
