Worst hotel we have ever stayed at! Rude receptionists and hosts, not welcoming at all, terrible food. We had paid for breakfast included, milk coffee had black chunks through it (not coffee spots) like off milk mould. No butter for the toast, potatoes not cooked and hard. The first room had black mould all over the ceiling and our door key never worked so had to walk so many flights of stairs everytime up and down as we were on top floor just to tell them we could not get into our room. When we asked to change rooms they had us wait outside as the guest lounge was being used by them, meanwhile i was actually spewing my guts up from food poisoning i had. It took them hours to refresh a room for us and eventually they had us wait in a used room which turned out to be our drivers room which he was not even informed about. We finally got a new room and once again the key would not work for the door, wifi would not work and neither would the power points. The fridges in the rooms were filthy and mouldy so could not keep anything cold. They had our laundry to clean and charged us when given to them but because we left for another hotel when we picked up laundry they decided they wanted to charge us more! 1 Star Shamefully Unethical Management – Avoid at All Costs

We had a confirmed reservation for 2 family rooms at Hotel Lakeside from April 12–13. We informed them in advance about our 5 AM arrival — yet upon reaching, we were handed completely different and inferior rooms.

When questioned, the manager shamelessly admitted that our reserved rooms were sold off to someone else at a higher price. No apology. No remorse. Just open greed and zero accountability. This is nothing short of a scam.

The so-called “complimentary breakfast” was a complete facade — dry bread with jam, one boiled egg, some potato chilly, cut fruits, and cheap Tetley tea. Not even butter unless you fight for it — which, as we found out later, other guests literally had to do. Even omelettes weren’t offered unless demanded, and other families also had their rooms sold off in a similar fashion.

This hotel thrives on overbooking, bait-and-switch tactics, and utter disregard for guest comfort. We were traveling with a toddler and family, and this level of mismanagement and disrespect is inexcusable.

I had a wonderful stay at Lake Side View Hotel in Pokhara! The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Lakeside, just a short walk from Phewa Lake with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby. The view from my room was absolutely stunning, especially during sunrise and sunset over the lake and surrounding hills.

The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the essentials provided. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the hot shower was reliable — which is always a plus in Pokhara! The balcony was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They assisted with arranging local tours, paragliding, and even airport transfers, making everything hassle-free. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning, served with a smile.

Overall, Lake Side View Hotel offers amazing value for money with great comfort, warm hospitality, and one of the best locations in Pokhara. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone...
