If you're looking for a trekking guide who's not just a guide but a friend, philosopher, chef, and comedian all rolled into one, look no further! Acme Adventures is the ultimate trekking guru on the Annapurna Circuit!
From the moment we met, we knew we were in for an adventure of a lifetime. Our guide's consistent courtesy and high level of service made us feel like royalty in the mountains. The guides also scored very high on the fun factor scale, with lots of jokes back and forth on and off the trails.
They expertly navigate us through the stunning landscapes for 14 days, but also became our personal Nepalese cuisine maestros - we learned how to whip up delicious Nepalese curry and momos that even made the local yaks jealous!
But wait, there's more! They didn't just guide us physically, they immersed us in the vibrant tapestry of Nepalese culture. We learned about the joys and challenges of living in Nepal, and let me tell you, the stories were as captivating as the views.
There's a consistent commitment to positive attitude, even when the going got tough, as well as environmental stewardship. These guides know - leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but memories.
In summary, if you want a trekking experience that's equal parts adventure, culture, and laughs, Acme is your guide. Trust me, you'll come back from the Annapurna Circuit with a backpack full of memories and a heart full of gratitude for this incredible guide. Thank you, Saurab and Jivan, for making our trek...
Read moreWe recently did the Ghorepani / Poon Hill trek from Pokhara and had an absolutely amazing time. Because we were in Nepal for a wedding we didn’t have a whole lot of time for a trek (we’ll absolutely be back to do a long one, and we’ll be doing it with Acme!) but they were able to work with our schedule and set us up with a 4 day 3 night trek, which was perfect.
Our guide, Saurab, is truly a legend and everything you would want in a trekking guide. From the moment we met, he made us feel like family. Not to mention he’s got a wealth of knowledge- any question you might have about the mountains, jungles, geology, weather, local villages, music, dance, or Nepalese culture in general, he’s got the answer. He also knew our route like the back of his hand- we always had rest breaks at beautiful vistas, afternoon tea was always great, and the tea houses we stayed at had top-notch views and amazing food.
I talked with Saurab a lot about his love for this beautiful country and how much he enjoys sharing it with new people. Advocating for Nepal, its people and culture is a priority of this company and it makes the experience so much more profound. They’re committed to helping people find an adventure that’s perfect for them, without losing a sense of place.
Can’t wait to get back for a longer trek and a glass of...
Read moreMy partner and I are avid trail runners and lover of the mountains, so obviously Annapurna circuit was a bucket list trip for us.
Saurab and Jivan made what already should’ve been an epic adventure, an absolute trip of a lifetime. I could spend hours talking about how wonder-inspiring all the nature was, but you can look up photos online to be easily convinced of that.
What truly exceeded our expectations was how passionate our guides were - about Nepali culture, about trekking, and about community values. It was obvious that this is a company built on the desire to show others Nepal’s natural/cultural beauty and earning money is secondary to that. As foreign travelers, it’s easy to feel taken-advantage-of and vigilant of being nickeled and dimed. Our guides earned the trust of having only our best interests so we were able to relax and just enjoy the trip. They bought us what we were missing, and we ate to our heart’s desire. We preferred to trek at a faster pace and to do more distance, so the plan graciously was modified to accommodate that.
Nothing beats moving in the world’s most amazing nature, surrounded by...
