Happy Treks is an incredible company with more than 20-year history. It’s a family-run business that exudes professionalism. I’m thrilled to have found them. Udaya Sir is incredibly responsive, both via email and WhatsApp. He’s committed to providing the best trekking experience, not just for money. After spending 10 days in Pokhara, I initially planned the ABC trek. However, Udaya Sir recommended the Poonhill Trek, a shorter but equally rewarding choice for first-time trekkers like my wife and me in winter. In Nepal, it’s often called a luxury trek due to its good lodges.

We requested a self-guided trek with porter and guide since we prefer independence. Unfortunately, no porter-guide combinations were available, so Udaya Sir provided a guide who even carried our luggage. We were impressed by Udaya Sir’s rule that porters and guides shouldn’t exceed 10 kg of luggage, as guides carry their own too. We appreciate working with a company that prioritises its employees, as we’ve seen guides and porters abused with excessive luggage in Nepal.

Even though I only booked a guide and transport, Udaya Sir made excellent recommendations for lodges and for popular hotel they even called and booked the best room for us. Udaya Ji himself has done the Poonhill trek over 300 times, so he knows it intimately. We got the best accommodations, the best rooms, the best vegetarian food, and the best prices.

Special mention to our guide, Shiva, made our first trek possible. He’s young, energetic, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Despite our nerves and lack of fitness, he gave us the confidence to enjoy the journey. As Udaya Sir advised, there’s no rush, so take your time. By the end, we were friends, and he took amazing pictures. We’ll definitely do another trek with him, hopefully matching his stamina! He helped us with hot water, deals, and food. When we ran late, he ensured our safety and encouraged us to go at our own pace, arriving on time. Overall, it was an incredible experience. By the end of the trek, we had become friends with Shiva. He took amazing pictures of us and we had a great time talking about various topics. We will definitely plan to do another trek with Shiva in future.

Now, let’s talk about the trek itself. I highly recommend this trek to anyone who’s a beginner. It’s a great way to get a good experience before taking on a bigger trek. The trek takes you through various landscapes, from mountains to forests. You’ll climb lots of stairs, but the breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas and the amazing sunrise at Poonhill make it all worth it.

The accommodations are very good, the trails are well-marked, and the scenery is beautiful. We especially loved the forest section and also enjoyed the cultural sections as we passed through some small villages.

I highly recommend booking your treks with Happy Treks. Their primary goal is to provide the best experience for their guests, and they achieve this through their flexibility, thoughtful choices, customer centric approach, very competitive pricing, which aims to make all their guests happy. They have a team of experienced guides, and Udaya Sir takes great care of them, treating them like family. He ensures that they receive advance payments and doesn’t treat them badly like some porters in other companies. Udaya ji himself started as a porter, so he has a deep understanding of the industry from the ground up.

I would continue to use Happy Treks because they are honest, friendly, and take great care of their guests. They also have an amazing guest house that I highly recommend, where we stayed for 6 nights. You’ll get a comfortable room with great amenities, a beautiful location near the lake house, the best breakfast in Nepal, reasonable pricing, and a lovely garden. You’ll also meet some of the kindest and most welcoming people you’ll ever encounter, which will make your stay in Nepal truly memorable.

If you’re visiting Pokhara, I highly recommend checking out Happy Treks. You’re in for a great time with...

Happy Trek - An Unforgettable Himalayan Adventure

I recently completed the Mardi Himal trek in the Annapurna range with Happy Trek, and it was truly a life-changing experience. From the very beginning, Mr. Happy, the manager, was incredibly helpful and responsive, answering all of my questions and providing me with all the information I needed to prepare for the trek. The itinerary was well-planned, taking us through picturesque locations including Dhampus, Pothana, Deurali, Forest Camp, Rest Camp, Low Camp, Mid Camp, Badal Danda, High Camp, lower view point, and a sub-summit after lower view point. The peak of the trek offered stunning views of the Annapurna range, the unclimbed Machhapuchhare, Manaslu, and Mount Mardi.

The trek was challenging and required a good level of fitness, but I always felt safe and secure under the guidance of our experienced guide, JB Bhujel, and our helpful porter, Krishna. What impressed me the most was the exceptional level of professionalism displayed by Happy Trek. When I requested to make some changes to the itinerary, such as visiting nearby villages, a local school, and a sub-summit, JB and Krishna were always accommodating and made the necessary adjustments whenever possible. Their flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile made this trek an unforgettable experience.

The natural beauty of the Annapurna range was breathtaking, and I enjoyed every moment of the trek. The stunning views of the mountains, the lush green forests, and the traditional villages made this trek an incredible adventure. I highly recommend Happy Trek to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-focused trekking company in the Himalayas.

In summary, my experience with Happy Trek was amazing, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable trekking experience in the Himalayas. Happy Trek truly delivered an exceptional adventure and deserves a 5-star...

I recently completed a 2-week trek with Happy Treks Nepal, and I can’t recommend them enough. This was actually my second trek with them, and once again, they didn’t disappoint. My guide, Shiba Subedi, was amazing—always positive, kind, and super attentive. He wasn’t just a guide, but more of a great travel companion throughout the trek. Shiba was always ready to answer any questions I had, adjust things when needed, and genuinely made sure I had a great experience. He went above and beyond to make sure my trek would be a memory I’d cherish forever—and he definitely succeeded.

The communication of Happy Treks was spot-on from the start. They took time to go over my requests and adjusted the itinerary to fit what I wanted. The trek itself was incredible, with highlights including the peaceful stay at Khopra Danda, the stunning hike to Khayer Lake, and of course, reaching Annapurna Base Camp—it felt like a dream come true. I would recommend visiting ABC in the off-season to avoid the crowds, though.

Shiba also made sure we stayed in the best guesthouses along the way, with great food and cozy rooms. Plus, he captured some incredible photos and videos, which really made the experience even more memorable.

Thanks to Mr. Happy, Shiba and the team at Happy Treks Nepal, this trek was smooth and truly enjoyable. I’ll definitely be doing more treks with them in the future and would absolutely ask for Shiba again if he’s available. If you’re planning a trek in Nepal, I highly recommend Happy...
