Location, location, location... rest was ok but not extraordinary. Location was great, nearby there is this non touristic area were you can have diner and grab a drink. Our room was really small (bit clean) and given the price you would expect a little bit more. Also the neighbors kept slamming the doors so it was quite annoying. Bedding was really comfortable. Breakfast (non included) was not amazing except for the home cooked eggs. I know Amsterdam is an expensive place to stay but I was disappointed by the quality/price ratio.

Only good thing is location. Couple of complaints: 1. Despite having the “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door, my room was entered multiple times. Once while I was resting, the cleaning staff banged on my door and just let themselves in. Complete lack of respect for their guests request for privacy. 2. As you can see in pictures provided, my room had water damaged floor boards, black mold in the corners, and brown-stained carpeting. 3. Bed was uneven and the entire mattress kept sliding off the bed.

Value for money hotel on a fantastic location next to the Vondelpark. We booked the larger double room 15m², which was more than spacious enough for 2 people and their luggage. I loved the super friendly personnel, the indoor garden/ bicycle parking and the fact that we had a water boiler. Some of the towels were falling apart and stained (but were changed every day). You could hear people in the hallway and when the main door was shut without slowing it down, but generally had a good night sleep.

How are places like this allowed to operate ? I am really asking. Totally unacceptable levels of cleaning. This place should be inspected by an official government body. Really the hygiene is so bad. The whole place is crawling with huge bed bugs. Mouse/rats and lots of other unidentifiable bugs and creatures. Bathroom is small and dirty. Location is not good. Very far from centre. Don't feel safe in the area. Lots of people hanging around the hotel. Seemed like a homeless shelter. Bad smells everywhere. Staff look like they are being held against there will and from what I hear they are not treated good. 1 of them was working 16 hour shifts. This is really the worst hotel in Amsterdam. I genuinely struggle with how this place is allowed to operate. Disappointed and disgusted. Really loud inside and out so no chance of sleep. Smell of drugs and damp in the whole building. Mold and leaking showers. Truly a travellers worst nightmare. So do not give them your money. Honestly better crack dens that this total hole. If I haven't said enough please read the other reviews. It's clear this place with...

Within 5-10 blocks of Museumsplein, Leidesplein, tram lines & restaurants/shopping galore, we couldn't have asked for more bang for our buck. This hotel sits right on the border of Vondelpark with great views of green space & Amsterdammers on their bikes throughout the day. Clean efficient elevator took us to the 2nd floor and our very small room w/2 twin beds. A trip to the bathroom at any time was bad news: the door banged into my bed & the floor was perpetually wet from the shower with no door & sink the size of a cereal bowl. Good news: the hotel supplied fresh clean towel daily to handle that mess! Instant coffee & powdered cream were the morning fare as there were no food services onsite. Breakfast wasn't to be had close to the hotel either, so we did some searching daily. However, additional upsides were friendly staff, surprisingly quiet considering the central location, & a small closet to hang stuff as the room was tiny. Iffy heating / AC system expected in this upgraded but...
