The motel is in a great location and the staff member serving was nice but unfortunately that's where the compliments end. We stayed in room 21 which was a family suite. The room was very dirty with coffee and tomato sauce splatters on the wall in the kitchen and old hair ties from a previous guest on the window sill in the shower. The floors were dirty to the point that our feet were black after walking on them. The bedding was clean but the beds were incredibly uncomfortable and there was only 1 flat pillow for each bed. We didn't get duvets for the beds only cheap thin wool blankets and we were cold overnight. The room didn't appear to be furnished except for the beds and a small old table and some dirty dated chairs. No art, no bedside tables, lamps, couch nothing.... Just open space. The curtains were old and you could see light through holes in the material and the window latches were all broken meaning we couldn't close the windows. The noise at night was awful being right near the motorway and train tracks so the ability to close the windows would be good. The balcony was dangerous and the rails had very wide gaps so we didn't let our kids outside. The exterior of the motel is dated and in need of a paint job and the gardens need to be weeded and refreshed. It's clear that the owner of the property hasn't put any money into the upkeep of the motel which is a shame because it's in a good location. I don't recommend staying here...
Read moreWarning! DO NOT STAY HERE. I thought it was reasonable and good location, that's where it ends. Room is basic, you only get one blanket, it was clean apart from the ceiling, stinks of old methamphetamine and it makes you sick, I had to leave, as overcome by the fumes, they wouldn't give a refund. Overall disgusted. Edit: I did arrive at 6pm and when out for a couple of hours, when I got back I opened the ranchslider for a couple of hours, closing it to go to sleep, I wish I had left! That ammonia stench woke me up and I opened the ranch slider again, tried the after hours number three separate times and no one answered. Closed the ranch slider to try and go back to sleep and woke a short while later feeling g sick, I made the decision to left, I wished I had left earlier, but I'd paid and didn't have enough $ to pay for somewhere else. I was on the second day of a course tired and feeling ill, the stench was on my clothing which I had laid out - no iron or ironing board in the room, should of given me my money back like I asked, you are fraudulently advertising and I will be taking...
Read moreWe were in room 20, the first impression should have been a warning...the room number on the door is held on with old sellotape. Once inside the room it was clear that it was old and in desperate need of an update, the door from bedroom to main room was stuck half open - we couldn’t budge it at all. There is a huge scorch mark on the carpet from an iron. Only a few implements available in the kitchen - no can opener..? As for the bathroom it’s a health hazard, I bought spray cleaner as you could feel and see the filth in the shower.
The whole room needs a thorough cleaning as the general grime is revolting. The old repair work needs to be redone, slapping poly filler on the walls to make it look like update work is happening is pointless.
The hotel receptionist was very sweet but seriously would not stay there...
