Stayed for a week with my wife for a family reunion came across this when googling for some nearby accommodation. Seemed like your average motel nothing flash just some where to lay your head at night as I planned on being out most of the time anyway..||I would have literally rather slept in my car if I had to do it all over again. The photos on their website are some of the best trick photography I have seen.||In my room for example scuffs and dings in the walls the door was difficult to lock as it was that worn out. The lino was all peeling and bubbling up. The "kitchenette" has no curtain so light floods in at sun rise, no water, the cups cutlery and utensils all out in open air getting contaminated with God knows what during "house keeping". ||Having to get your water from the bathroom sink is nothing new with your average value for money motel etc but the problem here is the bathroom I had here was in absolute disrepair. The walls were peeling, a hole in the wall, general scunge building up around the taps and drain. Black mold seasoning the window and ceiling, rotting swollen window frames and skirting boards. And the crown jewl the toilets cistern was half dangling off the wall.||All of this could have been overlooked if I could have got the one thing I wanted from the place. Just a place to lay my head at night. But you won't get a good night's sleep here.. The motorway runs just a building behind the motel so you hear that all night. The bed was awful so saggy it was nearly a hammock if you could some how have a lumpy hammock with springs digging into you. Tossed and turned all night and come sun rise the light poured in the flaming kitchenette window and the motorway sounds made it hard to even think about drifting off again.||Now I'm no stranger to affordable accommodation but this was without the worst place I have ever stayed if this was my last and only option I would just sleep in the car. ||At least advertise what your guests are getting not the lovely clean clean rooms with mood lighting that are on...
Read moreManager on duty was rude and had the attitude like he already knew what our group was about when in fact all we were running off was excitement and eagerness to be there for the nines. Being threatened on our first night "if I have to get out of bed and come and ask you to be quiet a 2nd time I will take your bond and all the money you put on this place and you can find somewhere else to stay" was just the beginning to a crappie stay at Rayland epsom motel. Now we didn't spend much time at the motel over the next two days due to being at the league however on our 2nd night we discovered we weren't the only ones living in our rooms...that's right we had cockroaches flying ones living behind the curtains and our other group staying downstairs had ants inside and out trailing all round the room. We made friends with another young group staying downstairs who had the same problem but they had both and had to find out whilst sleeping (if you could imagine). The cleanliness we didn't notice till daylight hit the room grubby black feet marks all over the living room walls skirting boards were filthy and the carpet when walking on it with bare feet was a result in crumbs and hair on the soles of our feet (yes right from day 1) on the last day/night I had asked the cleaner lady very nicely if I could please have more sheets for my bed as my partner had contracted cellulitis and became I'll resulting in him drenching the bed with cold sweats. Her face told me everything unpleasant that she was thinking in her mind which I then replied nicely I am happy to do It myself I know you are busy to find later she had made it anyway but the attitude of the management and maintenence was horrific I have never felt so judged and looked down on like we hadn't worked so hard and paid good money to come and stay there for a deserving holiday just ruined it all. I would like to thank the kind receptionist who was there to check us out on our last day though who we wished we had managing our stay with from day 1 she was the highlight of...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!! Its a run down dilapidated dump.||||Smelly, mouldy, small with no smoke alarm in an extremely poorly maintained property. The photos are not a true reflection - actually they should be done for false advertising.||||Upon opening the door we were greated with a mouldy stale smell. There were white stains on the bed covers, mould around the shower and all over the windows in the bathroom. Bathroom door had rusty hinges with bad water damage on both sides at the bottom.||||The kitchenette, if it could be called that, was the size of a pokey cupboard with everything stacked on top of each other. I have no idea how one was to use it as there was no room to put anything on.||||The ceiling, of wide wooden planks (yuck), had evidence of a smoke alarm. When the issue was raised with the staff we were told "you can see there was one, people steal them" which is of no use to us if there IS a fire. When asked why it hadn't been replaced "we are human not robots" ||||We did contemplate sleeping in the car but as the sheets were clean, we slept in our clothes and left as soon as possible. We had come up to an Ed Sheeran concert so everything was booked out. Paid $210 - worst accommodation we have ever stayed in.||||Walls are paper thin, could here the next room snoring. Floor creaked when upstairs guests moved. ||||Sorry to the guest whose parking spot we took as someone was already in...
