We had a great stay at ABBA Court Motel. Comfortable, affordable, great value for money and reasonably close to downtown, just an easy 10-15 walk or stroll. We arrived late at night and woke up and drew the curtains to the most amazing views. It really was an incredible experience to start our stay in Queenstown.
The kitchen has everything you need, (tea, coffee, coffee plunger, sugar -a small milk for the first morning would have been nice) the bathroom, whilst small more than serves its purpose. Heated towel rails with one in the bedroom as well, an overhead heater also in the bathroom and a nice shower with great water pressure.
There are two supermarkets nearby, one just down the road 100m (Fresh Choice which is like a Woolworths in Australia) and across the road is McKibbons which is amazing and has a cafe, deli, charcuterie, fresh fish and meat with fresh breads and pastries. Fantastic spot.
There’s a BBQ outside though it is not covered and a kids play area.
Coin operated washer and dryer available. Liquid laundromat located down Hallenstein Rd near Caltex Service station.
We were even able to use the storage shed between our 10am checkout and van collection at 2pm which was absolutely invaluable. Thank you Margaret.
We can’t say enough about how nice it was to stay here, our hosts were friendly and eager to help. We even booked a return nights stay.
We highly recommend...
Read moreIn all our travels I have never written a negative review as we appreciate someone can just have had a bad day however the manager was very rude from the first contact was unhelpful and made it clear we were in a budget room so not to expect much. Rooms are not serviced unless your staying over 4 days, you are charged if you need extra towels, parking for the budget room is up a steep set of stairs or on the road, no packaged tea coffee or sugar just in canisters not particularly adhering to safe Covid practices. Although there was a stove there was no exhaust fan so impractical to use stove or oven as it set the fire alarm off. The security lights left on all night shine directly through the kitchen Venetian’s onto the bed all night. The owner made it clear we get for what we paid for. I might add none of this is listed on the web site nor in the description he gave our travel agent. Never Again Lyndon you need to go to customer service classes your behaviour was inexcusable and ruined our stay in Queenstown or perhaps you should visit some of the many other places we stayed that were welcoming and learn from them. P/s clean behind your sliding toilet door as...

I have nothing but praise for this motel which I’m my opinion can very well compete with many of the ‘ big boys’ in town.
Walking distance from the centre I had the pleasure of staying here for several weeks in a balcony 1 bedroom unit which was well appointed including a kitchenette which included a microwave / cooking facilities and a full sized fridge leaving me wanting for nothing . Pots and pans cutlery plates etc were all provided . Bedroom was spacious and well appointed . Groceries can by bought at two supermarkets directly across the street. The bathroom had an excellent shower with great water pressure and immediate hot water . The host was very helpful and informative .
The fact that this motel is dog friendly was such a surprise and suited us perfectly . The owner being a dog owner himself is indeed very understanding as regards guests with their pets …. Parking was available onsite right next to the units . A small garden with play facilities is available for kids under supervision and also provides a place for pets to stretch their legs …..
It was a pleasure to stay and I will...
