Out of the five accommodations we stayed in across the South Island, from Mount Cook to Te Anau to Queenstown, this was by far our favorite. The room was spacious, and we even received a free upgrade because the TV wasn’t working, which they communicated to us beforehand. Communication was excellent—they let us know the reception closes at a certain time, which made check-in smooth. We felt very safe here, as the property typically has a no-vacancy policy after reception closes, so there are no randoms walking around.
The room itself was huge and offered a great view. It was so clean and thoughtfully designed, with everything you might need already considered. The cleaning team did a superb job of anticipating our needs, and you could tell they take pride in maintaining the space. The kitchen had lots of space, and the bathroom was spotless. The dining area and room layout were perfect for walking around, and we found ourselves walking into the city frequently since it was so accessible.
The customer service was exceptional. On the day we checked out, it was pouring rain, and they even let us use umbrellas after we checked out. We returned them before leaving for our flights, which was very considerate.
Please remember to book directly with the team on their website, as that’s how we found the cheapest price. They also matched this price for our third night in the upgraded room. We found booking on other external websites to be more expensive.
Overall, this place offered the most relaxing enjoyable stay of our trip, and we actually extended our stay to three nights. A fantastic...
Read moreComfortable bed and very clean. Only issue I have when I compare it to other Bella Vista I have stayed at is that nobody greeted me at reception when I checked in (although I could hear them chatting in the other room as the door was ajar). Usually I can get a continental breakfast at other Bella Vista which I was hoping to do this stay, but I found no way to raise anyone even to ask, as the instructions at reception on using the phone to get someone's attention didn't work....so I basically selected my name from a few pouches left on the reception desk that had my key in it and found my way to the room I'd been assigned. I've never stayed at a motel for a night without ever seeing anyone representing that Motel in any way. TV channel selections weren't very good - nothing in the room telling you what channels you actually had and how to find them. After struggling up the stairs with my oversized bag, a luggage rack would have been handy when I got in to the room. There was one there but it was on top of the wardrobe and I couldn't reach it to get it down. I would stay here again if I couldn't get accommodation elsewhere as I did have a...
Read moreWe booked couple nights. The room was warm and good double glazing. Couple things were a bit of a let down. 1, the fan in the bathroom would not turn off once it started. I spoke to the Cleaning crew they said to pull the key card which cuts the power. That worked but we did not use the fan again. 2, The TV was a big disappointment picture was fussy and 8 channels. I know we are in Queenstown and there are things to do but when you go back to your room to relax sometimes you watch TV. 3, I think our room needed a lot of TLC there were chips out of things and the rooms day core was very boring. Room serviced every 2 days I think if you are paying over $250 a night it should be a lot better than that. But in saying all that the location is great we parked the car off the street and walked to town. Thing is would I stay...
