Biddy Kate's Backpackers — Hotel in South Island

The bar staff are great. If it weren't for them, I'd give the place one star but the bartenders are very good at what they do and credit is due. If I were just rating the staff, they'd get five stars. Unfortunately the rest of the experience rates somewhere between mediocre and rubbish. The only thing worth eating at Biddy Kate's is the French fries. Idk why but the food is terrible. It's not hard to make food taste good and yet... they're committed to serving consistently awful food.

The atmosphere is weird too. Partly due to the layout of the room but also because one side of the bar feels like a frat house and the other side feels like a place you do happy hour with colleagues. The split energy creates a...

Biddy Kates has a nice Cafe to sit and have a coffee or cake or something else however they do close their kitchen for a short time best to go around morning or early lunch time. Nightlife here is good I enjoyed a night out with friends and won a little something on the slots be it my eyes were somewhat clouded over but a good night all in all I would definitely like to return on a hot sunny evening as we went in winter and it was very very chilly outside. 1. If you are a backpacker who is going to be in blenheim for work , I strongly raccomend you to look for a room in a shared house as it is cheaper and much cleaner.
