First time dining at Cancun Eats tonight, and we all agreed the best Mexican food in Blenheim hands down. Out of all the dishes, my absolute favorite was the fish taco. It was so delicious. Everyone enjoyed their tacos and chimichangas. There are no spice to these dishes, but they do have some very spicy sauces at the table for those who want to add the spice, go hard. We also had pork belly bites and corn chips with guacamole for starters, which were very yummy. I ordered the pork belly taco, and it was exactly the same as our starter but wrapped in a taco, so I'd probably try another taco next time. Mexican food is amazing, and this restaurant has a great vibe. The staff are so friendly and very attentive. There is an awesome selection of drinks, I had the Limoncello Mojito, which I'd totally recommend, and they have some really good beers on tap, I also saw they had a good range of Mexican sodas. If by the end of your meal you feel like a sweet treat, try the churros with either caramel or chocolate sauce or my ultimate fav Banana Chimichanga with the most delightful caramel sauce and icecream....Ill be back just for that dessert alone. If you're in Blenheim, definitely dine at Cancun Eats, good prices, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe service was good, we even had our water refilled without asking. The staff is very focused on customer service and it shows. I wish great service was enough for a good review because these folks knew how to treat guests and create a positive experience and perception. The food presentation was nice but the flavours were all wrong. Other than the naming mechanisms, this isnāt Mexican food or even Mexicali cuisine. We had the taquitos which come with a thin mole which tasted more like sugar than authentic mole. This should have an allergen notice because it has both peanuts and almonds. My husband had the lamb tostada which used star anise and a bean mix with chickpeas. It was very weird. I had the prawn tacos. Tacos are my favorite food but I disliked these tacos so much I didnāt finish them. The sauce was bizarre and again, not remotely like any Mexican cuisine Iāve tried. I have friends who like this place but if you have a North American palate or have ever tried authenticate Mexican for,...
Read moreWhile passing through Blenheim, my friend and I were headed to a cafe when we spotted the magic sign out the front proclaiming stuffed jalapeño poppers were available so we threw the plans out the window and dove in. What a great decision!!
The poppers were out of this world good - the perfect blend of creamy and spicy, and the nachos were unlike any Iāve had before in the best way possible. Service was exceptional and we had a great time chatting to the lovely lady working there. Prices were incredibly reasonable especially considering the quality. Also canāt forget to mention that they had a great array of vegetarian options available!
Genuinely this place was good enough that I would intentionally come back to Blenheim just to eat there (keeping in mind that we live...
