Our wedding planners recommended this B&B to us and it added to the fairytale that was Queenstown. Traveling from the states and having constant communication prior to arriving with the staff at Browns Boutique was very helpful. The honeymoon suite was extremely spacious with impeccable views. Kyle and Jillian were very friendly and we were able to meet the owner, Peter-Ray, at a breakfast during our 4-night stay. These folks made our trip seamless. They had great recommendations, gave us a tour of the building, made sure our room was nice and cozy before our arrival, booked our in-house massages, and made sure we had transportation to and from the B&B. ||The breakfast is homemade and very good. I wish I was able to get a case of that Greek yogurt. They made sure fresh fruit was out as well. ||The location couldn't have been better as we were in walking distance of everything in Queenstown. ||After reading some of the low rated reviews, I have noticed that a lot of these reviews are from folks who didn't do their research. Look at photos of the place and their website prior to booking. This place is for those who like a homey type of environment, instead of your run-of-the-mill Hilton. Cleaning wasn't everyday but it's not needed everyday if you aren't a total slob. Highly recommend booking through their website instead of these third party groups like...
Read moreAbsolutely phenomenal stay and service! This was by far one of the best places we've ever stayed. The location is so close to the middle of town, but just one street up from the bustle and noise. It took maybe 3 minutes to walk to the main street in town. The breakfast was high quality, wonderful, and had a large selection of salty, sweet, and a couple of cooked items as well. The ambiance is so pretty and European, with plenty of space to sit on the patio or down by the fireplace to read a good book. The wifi was excellent and allowed us to work in the morning before heading out for the day. The rooms were spacious, with a fridge, kettle, robes, hair dryer, iron, tea, cups, plates, wine glasses, and even a delicious treat; the bathroom even had bath salts. The extra amenities were really nice. The best part was the owner. What a wonderful conversationalist with so much insight into life in general!
Our only regret was honestly just not having more time to stay there. We will definitely be looking to visit again when we come back to New Zealand in the future. I highly recommend a stay here and see how to...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brown's Boutiqe Hotel in Queensland. From the moment we checked in till the moment we left the Managers, Skye and Angelo, made us feel at home. Facilities were very nice, location was excellent (close to the Gondola and close to downtown and the water), but the best part was the personal attention we received from Skye and Angelo. From homemade breakfast to discussions around the fireplace on the back patio, making reservations for an experience for us, to the Bread-making class Angelo gave us, this was a unique experience. With just 10 rooms this is much more like a cozy B&B than a Hotel. My only suggestions would be that our bathroom needs a little updating; and for those who prefer a cooler environment, I'd say Air Conditioning in the summer months would be valuable. We spoke to Skye and Angelo about both these items, and they are aware and would like to have these addressed in the near future.|New Zealand is a long trip for us (coming from Oregon in the USA), but we can say with certainty if we return to New Zealand we will definitely book again at Brown's...
