Parkbrae Estate — Hotel in South Island

I recently stayed at Parbrae Estate - 3 Sealy street and had mixed feelings about my experience.

First, let me highlight the positives: the room was impressively spacious, equipped with a private spa. The full kitchen and smart TV were great amenities that added to the comfort of our stay. The room were clean and the living rooms were spacious. A great space for the family. This and the location itself right across the lake is a 4 star in my books.

However we encountered several maintenance issues that significantly impacted my experience. The lack of an central air conditioning / ac in the house made it really uncomfortable for everyone in the house. The rooms got really hot during the night.

We opened the windows one night and the entire place got manifested with bugs from the woods.

During our stay, we faced multiple issues: beyond the air conditioning, the spa and hot water stopped working a couple of times.

For over $500 per night, I expected a much higher standard of service and functionality. While the place has a great landscape and has great potential, the lack of attention to maintenance and guest feedback left me feeling disappointed. I hope they can address these issues for...
