My order of beef burger sandwich took a while. When it came, it was a wrong order - vegetarian burger. So we told the waitress by the name of ally that we ordered beef burger. But we could see the smirk on her face upon leaving our table. I waited again for a while. Then I asked the lady who took our order and she admitted that she made a mistake and that the sandwich is now being prepared. However it’s again taking a wee while so I ask this waiter how far away was it. He replied not in a polite manner that it is being cooked. While we are exchanging words the plated burger came out. He asked twice if “do you want it or not”. Tho his tone was not even apologetic but I was famished so I said ok bring it to my table. He had another exchange of words with my wife and he asked again the same question. This instance it annoyed me so I told him no and you refund me. In the counter, we had further exchanges of unpleasant words. In conclusion the customer service orientation of the staff are very poor. I would strongly not recommend this restaurant...
Read moreI recently dined at Jack Rabbit in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand, and it was an absolute delight!
This stylish café, nestled at the Godley Hotel, boasts some of the best views in town, with stunning vistas of Lake Tekapo and the surrounding mountains.
The atmosphere is warm, modern, and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and soak in the scenery. The food was nothing short of excellent. From the hearty big breakfast to the flavorful corn fritters and basil pesto scones, every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
What truly sets Jack Rabbit apart is the impeccable service.
Despite the place being packed (a sure sign of a great restaurant!), the staff were friendly, attentive, and kept everything running like a well-oiled machine. The kitchen’s efficiency was impressive, with dishes arriving promptly and perfectly cooked. If you’re in Lake Tekapo, Jack Rabbit is an absolute must-visit. Whether for breakfast, brunch, or a quick coffee, this gem delivers on every front....
Read moreStopped here on our way through to Christchurch. As soon as I walked in, I just loved the atmosphere and with the open windows, giving great views of the lakes and mountains. The vibe of the space was also really cosy and inviting.
Lining up for coffee, I had a quick squizz at the menu and kinda wished we were staying for food as it looked really appetising.
The coffee was incredible. I ordered a long black and a vanilla latte and both went down perfectly and really got me set up for the long drive through.
Staff were friendly and a lovely demeanour. There was a new staff member in training and he had a really nice energy to him as he was going through the process of training and you could tell the rest of the staff were really caring towards that learning. Which just makes me love this place all the more.
Thank you so much and will be back next...
