The bridge is part of the State Highway and used to be the only way to get from one side of Tekapo to the other before the footbridge was installed. There is a footpath on one side of the bridge fore pedestrians. The bridge has quite an interesting view of the lake from teh otehr side as the water goes into the channel. It is a nice alternative to the footbridge with slight...
