The White Wabbit — Hotel in South Island

I wanted to review the High Tea at Tea in A Secret Garden, that Heather and Peter hosted here in Blenheim for us last weekend. If you havent experienced one of their high teas you are missing out! Not only is their Garden gorgeous, but the food that Heather bakes is incredible! There is so much thought and effort that goes into these amazing high teas, the tables are set up beautifully, each person has a different tea cup/saucer set. We had 10 people which was a perfect amount, but they can cater for more or less. Nothings a problem, Heather and Peter are perfect hosts! Bring along your own bubbles, wine or other beverages if you so wish. The knowledge Peter has about tea is awesome, hear some of the history of tea and enjoy a cup or two freshly prepared for your party. The food included gorgeous cucumber sandwiches, chocolate eclairs, scones with jam and cream, apple tarts, lemon tarts, savoury tarts, chocolate cake and Heathers pastry swans! Deliciously exquisite! We enjoyed a beautiful high tea hosted by Heather and Peter in their charming heritage home. Every food item was home made, delicious and plentiful.
