CBD VIADUCT HARBOUR — Hotel in Waitematā

The owners clearly don't give a damn about the terrible feedback given for their accomodation, they are ignorant money grabbers. Whilst the furnishings try to deceive the eye into thinking that the place is "luxury' it is far from it., for the hefty price I would rather pay a little bit extra for not as good location but much better standard of accommodation ||Our room was old, tired and in need of some serious maintenance. We booked for 3 people but the hot water ran out after 2 very short showers, the bed was so hard and uncomfortable we basically stayed up all night trying to find some position in the bed to hopefully get a little sleep. The side lamp in the room was broken and in order to use it you had to jiggle the cord to get it to work||In the morning we were horrified to see adult and juvenile cockroaches running around on the kitchen bench, which the staff seemed "surprised" by so the food we left out had to be thrown out. ||They don't tell you on the website that there is no oven or stove top so we took some food to cook but weren't able to and to top it all off our key worked sometimes which meant we were left outside the building waiting for someone to come along and let us in.||I will never ever return there and it's only reprieve worthy of a one star is the location and that seems to be what the owners rest their laurels...

Disappointed

I booked 2 rooms (#1L and 2L) Rating for room 1L regarding price value: 1 star For 2nd room: 3 star So in sum I can not rate more than 2 stars

We booked due to that outermost good rates and fotos.

We were not lucky! We got an old room (1L) which has the best times behind. Please renovate me!

Everything is old. Carpet almost years old, many stains. The bed was in the style which you can flap into the closet.

Only one 240V Plug For German/French flat plugs. No USB plug available.

We had a great expectation for our last night in Auckland, but to be honest the Social M one street across with breakfast is the much better choice (!) where we started our 3 week vacation.

Price-value rate is not good.

Maybe there are rooms which are like on the fotos? I booked 2 rooms and the 2nd for my friends was much better with a REAL BED and a renovated bathroom and a new carpet, but also far away from the pics. This room was 2L My 1L - avoid this room.

Due that no other rooms were available we get one bottle wine for free after we complaint the room.

At the end you have to be lucky if your room is acceptable or not.

We got for breakfast a very good tip at the „reception“: Right side down the street approx...
