Pizzeria LA VECCHIA SIGNORA — Restaurant in San Juan del Sur (Municipio)

This is my first ever Google review. Just left this restaurant completely traumatized!! My boyfriend and I wanted to have some pizza for our last night in Nicaragua before a 24 hour travel home. We ordered 2 pizzas, it took 1 hour and 30 mins to get them. Towards 930 pm after waiting for 1 hr and 30 mins my boyfriend stood up to get the pizzas from the counter himself, and the waitress (who was one of the worst waitresses I’ve ever experienced in my entire life) stole his chair from our table and gave it to her friend sitting next to us. My boyfriend came back and I asked her why she took his chair away - she looked me dead in the eyes and ignored me. This was the last available chair in the restaurant. It is definitely the best Italien pizza I have ever had! Even in Italy you don't get this quality and taste in every restaurant. If you like blue cheese - NicaItaliana should be your choice!

When I came to the restaurant with my friends, I wasn't hungry at all, because I already had a dinner. But then I saw and smelled the pizzas of my friends and decided to order my own, eat a couple of slices and take away the rest. But I couldn't stop and ate the whole pizza!

I wouldn't say, it's too much for one person - it's just right! Because they don't put too much of the filling.

The waiters were really friendly and just let us do our thing and chat (there was no unpolite waitress mentioned in other comments).

We love pizza and always look forward to trying different pizzas while traveling! We did carryout as we had wine we needed to finish before returning to the US. The plan was to try 3 different pizza places during the week and use up our wine!!

We first chose Pizzeria La Vecchia Signora because we knew it was a wood burning thin crust style pizza, which we prefer. Pizzas were great and the ingredients were fresh!! We liked the pizza the first night so much that we returned for multiple nights. I have no idea how this compares to the other pizza places because we decided to go tried and true.
