Puntarenas — Restaurant in Bella Vista

What a wonderful surprise this was for us. We wanted to try something new and different as so many of our old favorites are now closed.

The first decision that a guest has to make is deciding where they want to sit. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted... the main dining area (as you walk in) was very inviting. But we wanted to sit outside. So the hostess escorted us to the interior courtyard.

She explained that the room in front of us was holding a special event later that evening. She brought us two menus, one in English and one is Spanish, along with our drinks.

As we were sitting there looking at the menus we noticed an upstairs, outside area. We enquired if we could eat up there. She said yes we could and proceeded to assist moving us there.

When we reached the area we discovered it was a bar/dining area on a rooftop patio. We enjoyed the fresh evening breeze and watched the lights come on in the city.

Dinner was excellent. Due to my diet restrictions I just had roasted chicken and a delicious mixed salad. My wife had the beef tips with pasta. A very large serving that she enjoyed every bite of!

Service was very good and the hostess even spoke English. She was an administrative person who was helping out because they were short staffed. We were well taken care of.

My wife really enjoyed the mojito drink she ordered.

PAB 15 - 20 We went to Puntarenas Peruvian restaurant Feb 2025 on the last night of our trip for a seafood dinner and what a find that was! We had a mixed grill of fish, seafood, chicken and beef for two with plantains and yucca incl two Heineken zero (complimentary) for a very good price. There was lots of food and everything was delicious. Our server was great. When we were trying to decide and asking questions about the extensive menu he drew our attention to the mixed grill for two and it was the perfect choice for us. A restaurant in which the quality of the dishes speaks for its own!. The food quality is amazing and the service as well. A beautiful surprise among the wide offer of seafood in Panama. The wait for the dishes is a little bit long, but worth it in every bite!. The wine selection matches perfectly with the rest of the food and completes the experience.
