got to this place after 2 days travelling between Lima and Ica. The proprietary received us before checking time and accepted USD. I chose 2 beds because I'm travelling with my son; I requested a bedding change because one of the bed HAD BLOOD STAINS and the other one has RANDOM HAIR, the owner make excuses to avoid the bed setting change, however, I insisted. During checking process I requested the laundry service [S./4.50 per pound] since they don't let wash your clothes on premises, even having the facilities for. The owner of the place stated the laundry should be ready by 8:30pm, the total amount was 8.15USD and that I can pay when I got my laundry done. After waiting I fell asleep and this person woke me and my son up banging really hard at the door at the 11:30PM with a very strong smell of alchohol. When I proceed to pay with a ten dollar bill he increased the total amount of laundry service. I ended really upset, because this person was arguing about money exchange with me when he can't even stand straight.
And responding to the comments of the owner, our bus trip was amazing, [I strongly suggest Busbud for any booking], nobody ask the owner to give us a room for our own and we never were disrespectful, even when HE SHOW UP DRUNK to give us our laundry at ALMOST MIDNIGHT when he was told we were leaving early in the morning and asking for more money than he originally stated. If I am qualified as a negative person for telling "if you where at a party having drinks you should stay at the party, we could have received our laundry in the morning", then, YES, I'm a very negative logical person that could have shut the door on the face of a drunken person in a very animosity position and I didn't. My problem with this place was the owner showing up drunk at the room and trying to make more money from us; bottom line when people get drunk forgot manners, smiles, courtesy and HONESTY. After read his respond I strongly suggest to stay at any other place and don't risk your sleep at night and get exposed to unwanted and unnecessary argument with drunken people with no common sense at all that instead of apologize decided to accused us of negative people and write a bunch of lies. Conclusion we felt safe walking at night and all around Peru having the best time of our lifes, our only regret was staying...

Read moreWhen we arrived at this hostel (100% by chance) the owner and an employee acknowledged and greeted us as soon as we entered. Compared to some of then other hostels we stopped in before getting to this one, these people made us feel at home and welcome. ||The atmosphere in the hostel was excellent too. All the other guests were friendly and talkative which was great given how common it is now a days to see a group of people where everyone is on their phones texting rather than getting to know one another. For this reason, the hostel really had a family feel to it. People shared food and drinks when they had it. Conversations were enriching. And all the guests were diverse and super interesting. ||Our first night there, a whole group of us shared wine and made dinner. Then a couple of nights after that, there was a bbq. People danced and shared music from their respective countries. We made pisco sours. And everyone had a great time. 10/10 would stay again. ||Great place. Big rooms with balcony-esque windows. The internet worked great. And the view from hostel of surrounding mountains in the morning and sunset is spectacular.||For any solo traveller, anyone on a budget, anyone looking improve their Spanish in a more "authentic" backpackers hostel. This is the...
