Hotel La Posada de Ugarte — Hotel in Arequipa

We arrived at 5am in Arequipa and were soooo grateful that we were allowed to check right into the room to sleep a few hours without any extra costs.||Huge big room (old bake style) - have also seen once two "insects", which is already almost normal, so not to blame.||We were there during Arequipa's city birthday, so normal that you heard a lot during the night.||One of the best showers during my trip to Peru - if you waited a little, hot water and with a good stream.||Breakfast we had only once, was ok but...

Very good hotel at a good location. There are plenty of good coffee shops and restaurants just around the corner. You can easily walk to the city center and do everything by foot. Staff was super friendly, took care of our bags when we were on a trekking in the colca canyon and is really supportive. Rooms are quite big and nice. Beds are comfortable, showers have hot water. Only small downside: at the breakfast we didn‘t feel very welcomed, that was a bit sad. A little smile now and then would...

A very nice place to stay while you are exploring Arequipa and the places and ecperiences next to it. The lunchbox we got from the hotel to our Colca canyon tour (departing 3am) was amazing, the staff was very kind and helpfull. One negative was that the hotel has no soundproof side, if you want to enjoy a quiet sleep, take some earplugs with you! The rooms were clean and nice, but not every evening had hot wather in the shower :( Anyway location is very good, hotel is cute, breakfast...
