El Caminante Class — Hotel in Arequipa

I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend it. The location is perfect. The main square and sites are close by. I arrived very early and my room was ready way ahead of check-in without mr requesting an early check-in. They can book tours with prices that are on a par with other places I enquired at. I booked a tour through them and they kindly allowed me to leave my things at the hotel until I got back a few days later. The place is safe and secure, peaceful and clean. Sometimes you can hear a bit of street noise and music from restaurants below but its not all night. Good wifi reception in rooms. Nice sized room with high ceiling. Decor made me feel as though I was going back in time. Shared bathroom nice and clean. Great hot water shower. Simple breakfast included of bread, jam, coffee znd juice. Lovely helpful and very friendly staff. I really appreciatex their help wgen checking my hotel reservation for my next destination. Great value and a nice place for a comfortable stay in the heart of Arequipa's...

We have mixed feelings about this place.||||First, to be positive : it's ideally located and very clean. We slept well there.||||Now, we booked two double rooms for Christmas (via Booking) and one couple was requested to change in the middle of the stay. Eventhough they adjusted the pricing to the room (which had no private bathroom, so cheaper), we had to wait for the other guests to check-out and the room to be cleaned before we could move in. We underwent their lack of organization.||||Also, there was only one woman to deal with the cleaning, the reception and the breakfast preparation of the hostel which is divided in two buildings. Put aside that it felt she was overexploited and about to have a burnout out of exhaustion, we were locked in or out of the place a couple of time because she was in the other building. Seriously, seeing this woman run up and down to deal with everyone made us feel terrible...||||Finally, please put the (tiny yet annoyingly loud) neighbor's dog...
