Red Pig — Restaurant in Arequipa

I was really expecting this to be the best burger of my life based on the other reviews, and perhaps I'm spoiled because Glasgow has such good burgers, this was good, but it wasn't the best burger I've had. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, with a side of Mac and cheese. The bacon was limited on the burger and not crispy, the burger itself was well cooked but by the second half was more chewy than juicy. My main beef (no pun intended) is with their house burger sauce, it has way too much ketchup in it and it was also all over the Mac and cheese which I wasn't expecting. I would have eaten here again though and subbed the house sauce for mayo and asked for the Mac and cheese plain. Overall good value for money, a decent (not life-changing) burger and Patty's...

I do love red pig or at least I used to. I ate there and it was always good. Today I was really craving one their hamburgers and ask for a delivery it wasn't bad but not what it used to be. The fries taste kinda weird and the hamburger idk something was missing and also the sauces they send me this package sauce really bad and not the usual one they have in the restaurant. Hope the quality in the restaurant is still the same and this one was just a one time thing. Kinda disappointing.

Update: I went dine in and … it was great. Idk if they improve the delivery service but at least at the restaurant they are still great. I don’t know if I risk it asking for delivery again jajajja but definitely recommend...

I come from a place where burgers are served in every basement, bar, terrace, streetcorner, kitchen and van. I should also add that I'm a big, big boy. I came to red pig with moderate expectations and memories of the alcopop that made me remember lots of terrible underage decisions made in Newcastle in the 90s. I've just finished my meal (a big boy burger, there wasn't really a choice) and have this to say: imperious servers - Gerardo and Patricia - operating at the absolute pinnacle. An excellent burger, one of the best I've ever had, and that anyone should come experience. And I have to mention the amazing OLIVE SAUCE how does this not...
