Checked IN 11:45pm 12th May 2025 Checked OUT 10am 13th May 2025
LAST YEAR 2024 I stayed in this hotel last year and was ok. I couldn’t open the door from inside (and I had to got out through the windows) BUT I understood that “things” happens and they repair the lock promptly. Everything was acceptable (sheets and utilities in the room) and for that reason I booked for my trip this year (May 2025) and I asked for the same room. I paid 1 night in advance and reserved the same room for 7 days. I paid directly to the administration.
THIS YEAR 2025, May 12th I arrived close to midnight and the room was nothing like last time: No mattress protector sheets thin as baking paper, you can see the mattress. no night table (I asked for at least a chair and the answer was “we don’t have one”. No TV (the least of the problem) NO electric HEAT as last year. common area EMPTY. No chairs, like last year.
There guy in the reception told me: We are doing renovations. Didn’t tell you? I spoke twice with the lady in charge couple of weeks before strip. She didn’t say a word when I told her “I want the same room with all the utilities and service I experience last year.
I asked to call the manager, I spoke with her by phone And I told her I expect t a refund. Her answer was “but we need to pay the reception guy” I at the end she accepted to refund 50%.
3am I woke up FREEZING COLD. I ask again to the guy in the reception for a heater and he gave me an extra blanket.
PHOTOS You will see in the photos I had to put pillows on the floor (you will see the “pillows” ) to stop the door (that allows access to the balcony) STOPPING for opening any time I opened the front door!!
By the way, the hotel was almost empty. Some rooms they said...
Read moreI'm surprised there's not more positive reviews for this hotel! The location is excellent, a stones throw away from the San Blas markets and in a quiet part of a trendy area. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, and there's plenty of storage in the room. Piping hot showers and the included breakfast is a little basic being eggs, jam, butter, bread and juice. We stayed in three different hotels/hostels in Cusco between hiking and seeing the Sacred Valley, and this was our favourite...
Read moreWe found this place walking around and decided to take a break from hostels. It’s slightly more expensive but we got the tv and balcony and I’d say it was worth it. Bed was comfy, bathroom was nice, the location is unbeatable. Very nice views and you can go up and sit at the rooftop balcony too. There’s a market around the corner that makes amazing falafel dishes for 15 soles! Really happy...
