This is great little hotel once you get there. Don’t expect to get a taxi to your door as this is a side street up hill and very rough climb especially with suitcases. The front desk girl is amazing she speaks fairly good English and is very helpful. The front door is always locked you have to ring to get in. Once in you have to go down a set of stairs. Our room was to the left at the bottom of the stairs and when you walk through the door ther is a small kitchen with a small couch and coffee table. This room as a decent size fridge with a 2 burner hobb and a microwave. We never used the cooking facilities but did use the kettle. The bedroom was upstairs with a queen bed and TV. The only problem was there was only 3 hanger and no where to put your clothes so really had to live out of the suit case. Near the hotel are little store to buy water and beer and a few other necessities. You need to buy water as you cannot drink their water, you can’t use their water to even brush your teeth. I would boil water in the kettle and use that then sanitize my tooth brush. When you go n excursion they will make you a breakfast to go which is really helpful. The one main problem with this hotel is after you have been trekking all day you have to come back and climb the steps back up to your place. If you suffer from altitude sickness this can be difficult. This hotel has 3 terraces which were really nice at the...

Room was good. Wifi was patchy.||Very near San Blas square and good selection of restaurants. A less touristy area than the main square , a 6 or 7 minute walk downhill. Longer on the way back up. ||||They will order you a taxi to Poroy for the Machu Pichu train. It costs 40 Soles and takes 25 minutes. The taxi , not the train. ||||All of Cusco is 11,000 feet up , breathing can be harder than normal. It affects different people differently. There are steep narrow cobbled streets. Peruvians wanting to sell you things , offering you to get your photo taken with a baby alpaca , plenty of restaurants and bars selling food and drink much cheaper than home , a fairly strong Police precence, a world away from your normal life and an enjoyable train ride from Machu Pichu, which is worth...
