I traveled to Cusco all by myself, and the place where I purchase my tour to machupicchu and the amazon pretty much was a scam. I did end up going to Machu Picchu (thank god my tickets to machupicchu and the train were paid by the scammer )but I still ended up without a guide and a bus ticket (the guide I met at the entrance who already had his group of clients offered to help me by joining me to his group and since I wasn't sure of my way back to cusco he advice me to go to CaliCanto) but the person who was suppose to pick me up from the train station from ollantaytambo the scammer never showed up so I was left there in ollantaytambo all by myself in a rainy late night with nowhere to go so I had no other choice than to take the last local combi bus to cusco and I did, when I got to cusco around 1am I went to Calicanto and they were there with open doors for me at 1 am. They offerd me a modest room that was cheap, it was cold at night but with many blankets I was okay and never had a problem with the hot water. They offered to hold my luggage with them if I ended up going to the amazon which I didn't because the scammer stole my money ( but I ended up getting all my money back thanks to the Cusco police officers and the tourist police officers ). I always had clean towels, the lady that sells tours in CaliCanto was the sweetest person ever she actually sold me a tour to the sacred valley at a good price with a really nice guide while I was fixing my problem with the police, The doorman was very sweet too and the laundry service was great and cheap. I was able to use their computers, and their breakfast was free. They were booked that night I showed up in their hotel so they gave me the only room they had available with two big windows but it was nice I was able to sleep like a baby the cold didn't really bother me I really don't know if they had a heater because like I said I slept like a baby, I didn't lose anything nobody stole anything from me and every time I used to come back from being out they always gave information that the police officers left for me and they would also call me on my cell every time the police was looking for me at the hotel. I know it isn't a 5 star hotel but honestly they treated me like family when I was all by myself there lost without...
Read moreI slept here in avril 2014. It was just unacceptable for an hotel.||First we had a very cold room, without walls but only broken windows, il let you imagine how cold the Night can be in cusco. That is not a big issue, we asked to change our room and we had a better one.||But To finish, someone (staff i clearly suggest) stealth 2 polaire jackets in our room when we where outside, the door closed.||||The manager did´nt do anything to compensate this lost.||||I advise you to choose a better hotel or an hostal, it is safer for your...
