Hello! I hope this review helps a lot of fellow travelers from making the same MISTAKE I did.
First let me start by saying that I arrived to this hotel on July 5th around 12:00pm. Upon arriving, I knocked on the door because there was NO SIGN that says “ring the bell, do not knock”.
A guy comes out and says “do you not see the bell, you cannot knock the door”. Uhm excuse me? Did you put a sign!? That says ring the bell thats all the way to the top right side of the wall?. This guy wears glasses and was very rude upon arrival.
My first night at this hotel was spent on the 4th floor. My bathroom was full of ANTS. The name of this hotel should be ANTU instead of KANTU cause it’s infested with ants.
My sheets were DISGUSTING. They were so dirty I could not even grasp the reality of what was going on with this room. The towels smelled like wet dirty alpacas. And the WORST part of it all was that the heater connected to the wall did not work!!! I literally froze the whole night.
The next day I spoke to someone at the reception and they said they would switch me to another room. To leave my bags packed and they would move everything for me. I specifically asked for a room with a heater that works and they said yes they would get me a room with a working heater.
I come back from my tour that day and I am now on the second floor room 217. I walk in and there is no shower curtain in this room. Taking a shower was awful and painful due to the room being cold. The heater in this room was also broken and did not work! The staff ended up bringing me a small portable electric heater and said this should help cause this room is much smaller. It did not help.
Once on the second floor. It was nearly impossible to sleep. you hear everything that is happening in the lobby. You hear all the doors slamming. It was a nightmare!!! I could not sleep due to the noises and the cold.
I ended up checking out a day early on July 9th and upon checking out there was a lady there with glasses and a guy that claims to be named (SEBASTIAN). I have a video of both of them REFUSING to give me the name of the guy with glasses that was extremely rude and unprofessional. They went as far as saying they have no man working there with glasses lol. They are ridiculous and they should both be fired along with the guy with glasses. In fact they should just close this establishment and rebuild it with soundproof rooms and get rid of the ant infestation they have. Gross.
The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast BUT this is the funny thing about this hotel including free breakfast. Breakfast is from 6:30am -9:00am. All the tours start at either 3am, 4am,5am or 6am. So of course it starts at 6:30 … interesting timing!
Overall this was far by the WORST hotel ever. Idk how the hell they have a high rating on expedia cause their rating should be a 1.2 and thats me being nice!
Save your money and go somewhere else. Also this property should refund me my money! The lack of sleep and cold...
Read moreMy experience with this hotel started quite negatively but then things got better. Do I recommend the hotel? Yes, but be on the alert because certain issues may arise.||As soon as I arrived at the airport, I saw a man holding a sign with my name on. I was sure it was the taxi I had booked and paid for through booking.com. But upon arrival at the hotel, the driver wanted to be paid! Discussing it with the receptionist - the taxi driver didn't speak English - I found out that the hotel had used the information about the time of arrival I had provided and booked a taxi for me although I hadn't asked for it. Fortunately, the hotel took responsibility for the taxi payment.||The second incident had to do with the room. I was given a small room on the first floor. Being confused and tired I didn't pay any attention to the fact that my booking was for a big and comfortable superior suite. So the next day I went to the reception to discuss the matter. They tried to persuade me that the superior suite was what I was given and that booking.com pictures do not correspond to the type of rooms. After wasting some of my valuable time for negotiations, I was given a spacious superior suite with a jacuzzi, central heating and a portable heater for extra comfort. From then on, except for a problem with the sewage system which was resolved, my stay was fine.||About breakfast, although not impressive, it offered a satisfactory variety of sweet and savoury options. Also, throughout the day and night, guests had access to free coffee and hot beverages of various kinds.||Finally, communication with the hotel before arrival was prompt and hotel staff was generally polite and...
Read moreWe booked a suite at this hotel on Booking.com for October 29th–30th. Upon arrival, we paid for the room without even seeing it. When we got to the right floor, we discovered we'd been upgraded to a standard room. We asked for the room we'd reserved, but were told they were all occupied. Therefore, when you book this hotel, you can't be sure you'll stay in the room you've chosen and paid for. When it became clear that asking for a suite was pointless, we simply asked for a refund of the price difference. This was also refused. They could only cancel the room outright, but they weren't prepared to refund the price difference. The guy at the front desk acknowledged the stupidity of the situation but said there was nothing he could do—it was the manager's orders. The manager, meanwhile, didn't speak a word of English and showed no interest in resolving the issue, so talking to him was pointless. Finally, at 9 pm, exhausted from the move, we received an offer from them to find another hotel. They also didn't want to give us copies of our passports, even though we never used the hotel's services. Draw your own conclusions about whether you're willing to waste your time and energy on irresponsible people. (The photo shows the...
