Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience here. Please pay your balance in cash because what wasn't mentioned in my original booking is that you have to pay 5% additional fee if you pay with a credit card, which is annoying.
I made a booking on a third-party site. I came and paid the additional 5% fee. Early the next day, I got an email that my booking was canceled. I was confused and upset. I checked my credit card, and the charge was pending. I checked my notifications to see what happened. I emailed and sent a message to the property owner inquiring why it was canceled, showing a screenshot of the charge. I didn't receive a response. I found an email saying that I needed to provide another card because the numbers were invalid, and if I didn't, my reservation would be canceled. I reported this to the third-party booking site because it looked like a scam. Don't ever give your card numbers after seeing an email or getting a phone call, requesting you provide another form of payment. This is an old hotel scam. Caveat emptor!!!
I had a cold shower for two days, which was horrible. I asked twice for help, and the first persons instructions led to a colder shower. Finally, he told me to turn on the water in the bathroom sink all the way to left and up as high as it will go and let the water run until it's hot. Then, turn off the water in the sink and turn on the left nozzle in the shower . Your water will be hot for 3-4 minutes, and the water gets cool to cold and heats up after another 1-2 minutes. This can be a lot, but if a hot shower is important to you. Please follow my...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I stayed here on 2 x one night stays during our trip to Cusco. We paid a little extra for a private room as we had been on a few busy days traveling.||On the first night, we were awoken at 5am by one of the hotel staff coming into our room, despite me putting my own lock on the door and the door clearly being closed.||The breakfasts on both days were a bit scarce. There seemed to be a lack of food such as pancakes and eggs, and it was a little embarrassing asking for more to be put out.||The staff however are ever so friendly and they are willing to help you with all of your needs. They allowed us to leave our bags in storage while we went to Machu Picchu and the sacred valley overnight.||The rooms are quite comfortable and there is hot water in the showers. We were also supplied with towels and soap.||The hostel also offers laundry service, however some of my t shirts came back shrunk which I was disappointed about.||Overall it’s not too bad for the price and the hostel is centrally located which is very handy for visiting Cusco. However there does appear to be better places in and around Cusco so I would perhaps look elsewhere...
Read moreMy family of nine (including 4 kids) stayed in three separate rooms at this hotel twice (before and after a trip to Machu Picchu) during our trip to Cusco. We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The rooms were simply furnished but were clean and very comfortable. The bedding kept us cozy all night. Housekeeping was available every day. Wifi was strong throughout the hotel. Breakfast was available every day and consisted of bread, cheese, meat, pancakes or eggs, cereal, fresh fruit and juice, and coffee and tea. Water and snacks were available for a very reasonable price. The manager was very helpful- arranging taxis and walking with us to the main street to make sure the taxis had arrived. He also stored our extra luggage while we were in Aguas Calienties. We took advantage of the laundry service which was very reasonable priced. This hotel was the perfect place for our stay in Cusco and I strongly recommend it to to...
