If the first Inca Manco Capac was reincarnated and had to sleep in Lima - the City of the Kings- he would choose La Hacienda Miraflores as his hotel.||It was a quirky but beautiful place located right on one of the Main Streets of Lima.||Now it is documented that Inca Citadel Macchu Pichu was lost in the jungle and only rediscovered in Peru in 1911, but one thing modern Peruvians will never forget to discover is their car horn.||As the hotel is located on a busy junction the horns continued all night- as if Peru had won the World Cup.||If it wasn't the horn, it was the ambulance klaxon or police sirens.||None of which is the fault of this lovely hotel or pleasant staff who couldn't do enough for you- although they may have to install quadruple glazing in the future.||In fact, Juan the water who arranged our romantic alcove dinner treated us as if we were his only restaurant customers- in fact that night we were- but the food was lovely, the local ICA wine palatable and the ambience of musical accompaniment by the Peruvian Horns a surprising pleasure.||In easy walking distance of the modern Cliff-Top Mall and Gaudi Love Park, it was a joy to stay at...

I was most impressed with the staff, as I left behind a mirror in the bathroom. Was not sure I could retrieve it, as I had traveled to Cusco when I discovered that. However, another member of our tour group was returing to La Hacienda Miraflores at the end of the tour. She inquired about the mirror I left behind. The staff had collected it and put it in Lost & Found. She was able to retrieve it and send it to me once she got home. Very impressed with the honesty and integrity...
Read moreOur room had a comfortable bed, refrigerator, desk, chair, easy chair, one nightstand and a hairdryer. Have to pay for anything consumed from refrigerator. Two complimentary bottles of water were provided. We closed the window but we still heard quite a bit of road traffic noise. The noisy air conditioner cooled well. The bathroom was excellent with a sink, toilet, and shower but needs more towel bars and hooks. Laundry service available but no self-service laundry. The hotel had a well-equipped gym but was too warm. Continental breakfast available early (like 3:30 am). Good full breakfast available at 6:30...
