I had one of the worst restaurant experiences in my life at this place. Their computers went down and after 20 minutes of trying to pay with three different credit cards and them admitting their systems didn't work as others dealt with the same, the hostess said my date would need to wait captive in the restaurant while I went home to get an ATM card, found a bank, and gave her $38 cash for our lunch. She had a flight that evening and this wasn't an option (would have taken an hour and an Uber), so I politely explained I would just send the money and to take down my ID and contact info. She refused this offer about five times and almost immediately physically moved to stand between my date and the exit. She treated us like this was somehow our fault their computers didn't work and berated me for not having cash despite advertising taking credit cards.

It's a shame, this was my second visit to the restaurant and I had recommended it to out of town guests who had gone. I can't remember a time anyone teated me like a deadbeat like this. They messaged me later on WhatsApp asking for their money without an apology. So others deserve to know that the policy of the restaurant is that when their credit card machines stop working, the party has to separate while others scramble to find cash.

I'll take my business somewhere that values their customers. You can do much better in this town, most restaurants treat their customers with respect; this one treats them like ATM machines.

Update: I paid their $40 a week later, had to set up a local bank account first. You can see from the owner's response below how they treat their customers like...

First, entrance is through the gate, just ring the bell up front

Favorite restaurant I've tried in Peru so far, slightly edges out Merito. Carlos was an amazing host, we wound up ordering a little of everything from the menu, plus a main course each.

Black Jack cocktail looks really cool and tastes good, but I think the sour component overpowered the whiskey, it's not that different in taste from a Pisco sour. The negroni prohibido, on the other hand, is unique. Quite bitter and medicinal, which was a bit too much even for me, but I can see some people really liking it!

The cevigrill and causitas were sublime. The Fuego seafood tastes almost as good, but it also just looks really cool because it's literally on fire

Anticuchos were so good that most of the squeamish didn't realize they were eating heart, it was just too delicious. The tuna tataki was a great piece of lighter fare to contrast with it

My lomo saltado was well made, tender, and flavorful without being too salty.

No one was hungry at the end, but we ordered dessert anyway. Everything was great, but my favorite was the lucuma one, I wish I'd been able to eat more. The chocolate cake with ice cream was almost at that level too

Everything was actually surprisingly well priced too, cheaper than the prices in most restaurants that are even...

I have been staying in Lima for several months now and have visited numerous restaurants, but unfortunately, this one ranks among the worst. We found it on Google and were misled by all the glowing reviews. I don't understand why it has received such praise when, on the evening we visited from 7:30 to 9:30 PM, there were only two tables occupied (including ours).

While it markets itself as a Peruvian restaurant, it feels more like a fusion place with offerings like ramen. The only positive aspect of our meal was the chulpe snack we received; everything else was disappointing. What bothered me the most was the service and the portion sizes. They do not have a jug of chicha morada, which is fine, but we ordered two cups, each costing 15 soles. What a rip-off! The portions of all the dishes were shockingly small— I had to fill up on chulpe just to leave somewhat satisfied.

We ordered three dishes, three drinks, and water and ended up paying 189 soles, leaving the restaurant with a half-empty stomach. I tried to be fair in my assessment, but this was a genuine disappointment. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone and sincerely hope they make...

This restaurant was a little tricky to find from the street — there isn’t much signage, so you really have to know where you’re going. Once we arrived, we had to ring a doorbell to get in through the gate, which was a bit unusual but worked fine. Better signage outside would definitely help first-time visitors. Inside, the atmosphere felt more like an American bar than a traditional Peruvian restaurant. There were lots of 80s band posters on the walls, which gave it a unique and casual vibe, but it might not be what you expect if you’re looking for a more classic Peruvian dining experience. As for the food, the Lomo Saltado was tasty, but it wasn’t piping hot when it reached the table — it felt like it might have been sitting in the kitchen for a few minutes before being served. The flavor was still good, just not as fresh-off-the-stove as we would have liked. We also tried the Aji de Langostino. The shrimp were well-cooked, but the sauce didn’t taste homemade. It had the texture and flavor of something store-bought rather than freshly prepared. Overall, a decent experience but with room for improvement, especially in presentation and keeping dishes hot.

Looks much better in pictures than in your stomach. Originally showed up at 6:30 and was told to come back at 7pm for dinner service so make a note of that. Ordered the cevigrill and like all the other bad reviews the portion size is super small. Maybe it was cooked well and it just wasn't for me but I didn't really like it. I don't know for sure but I wouldn't recommend it. There is a lot of attention to detail with the drinks so it takes awhile to receive. There was only myself and another guy in the restaurant so it's not like they had a lot to do. The flavor was good but it was mostly ice and rather expensive. Restaurant is located inside a gated area. I was lucky enough that people were exiting as I tried to enter so the door was already open and was no problem for me. I tried opening the door from the outside when I was leaving out of curiosity and couldn't figure it out. The staff was incredibly friendly in my opinion although I didn't have much interaction with them. Overall was a disappointment. Wouldn't recommend and won't return.
