Hotel Ballestas — Hotel in Paracas

We arrived by bus with no reservation. We wandered into Hotel Ballestas and were greeted by Marilu, the daughter of the owners. She gave us an extremely good rate for a simple clean room. She also organized our tour to the ballestas islands with no hassle and no extra fees. When it was time to move on, guess what? She booked our bus out of Paracas at a cheaper rate than the tour operators on the strip. Marilu was awesome and helpful.. the room was clean and functional.. good hot water.. a tv that worked.. a nice window to the ocean.. could not have...

the front man of the hotel puts up a helpfull face on arrival as he has a keen interest on booking you on tours. however he is a liar and his friends are theives which left a bad taste in our mouth. which is a shame because all other people working there are awsome. in the end they stole 150 soles from us with their trickery. plently of better people around who could benefit from positive tourism. Pasé una noche en habitación matrimonial, del 01 al 02/17. El costo de la habitación fue de S/.100, probablemente por ser una fecha festiva. La habitación era espaciosa pero estaba casi vacía. Tenia una mesa pequeña en una esquina, una repisa y una mesa de noche. También contaba con televisor que estaba en una esquina en un rack. Tenía cable pero el módem no funcionaba. ||||Como el cuarto no tiene teléfono, bajamos a pedir que lo arreglasen para poder ver algo de televisión. Subió un empleado a verlo y como no pudo arreglarlo ofreció hacernos un descuento. Al día siguiente fui a recepción a pedir el descuento y la señorita que atendía dijo que no era posible hacerlo porque ya había cerrado su cuenta (el pago se hizo por adelantado, el día anterior) y además comentó que el módem había estado operativo el mismo día antes de que nos alojemos. ||||Desde que llegamos, notamos que el ruido (conversaciones, gritos, etc) de las habitaciones contiguas se filtra en los pasillos y las demás habitaciones, como si las puertas...
