I am still dreaming of the Spanish style crab from Angel Wish. By far the best seasoning and preparation of crab that I had during the most recent trip to the PI (May 2023). The crab was not overcooked and though smaller than I would have liked (I did not choose the crab which I didn't realize until after I could do) and the seasoning was phenomenal. I unfortunately am not able to describe the flavors other than it had a little heat/slightly spicy (I eat a lot of spicy things) and was saucy without being too oily/greasy. It was much better than the crab I had at both Badjao and Kalui in Puerto Princesa afterwards. My cousin and I both ate here again the next day and tried the shrimp with chili garlic seasoning. Not as delicious as the spanish style, but I was disappointed as I'd asked the wait staff the night before if the shrimp could be prepared similarly and was told yes, but different wait staff during lunch and was not able to get it Spanish style. Stir fried kankong was very tasty as well, a little salty, but not overly. Fresh Buko was flavorless; haven't had much luck with Buko during my recent travels. Calamansi juice was delicious and refreshing; not overly sweet and just perfectly tart.
Restaurant is much of what I expect for beach front - sand on the floors, open view, nothing fancy. Place was clean. Can't speak for the toilets which we didn't use. Wait staff were...
Read moreWe ate dinner here 2x. My group liked most of the food here.
Baked Mussels (taste was just so-so, and the mussels did not taste fresh. 1st time we ate was ok, 2nd time has a weird smell) Adobong Kangkong (hubby liked it) Adobong Sitaw (too salty for my taste Grilled tangigue (nothing special. Just a regular fish with spices/salt) Seafood (Tanigue, shrimp) Sisig (taste was great but too spicy for me) Fresh Mango shake (disappointing that there was no green mango shake, but this ripe mango shake is a great alternative) Adobong pusit (wow! This is the freshest pusit/squid I’ve eaten. I didn’t know that the freshness made the dish sweet and very savory.)
There wasn’t any Blue Marlin when we ate, we would have enjoyed that.
Food: 3 star Service: 4 star (nobody checks on you when eating and ask how’s the food, but servers/staff were very helpful when asked or if one calls their attention Ambience: 2 star (no A/C but if one’s ok with it, then good. I do prefer A/C so I knocked off a few stars). I can hear the water hitting the shoreline though, so I find that good and relaxing) Cleanliness: 3 star (not the cleanest restaurant I have ever eaten in) Restroom: 2 star (there’s water, toilet flushes, but ran out of toilet paper when I tried to use it. Soap inside the dispenser was...
Read moreThe restaurant was busy but still it took over 50 minutes just to get our main, the starter never came! So we cancelled that as we had finished most of our pork sisig. The staff had to ask if we were finished or still waiting to order as we had sat there so long waiting! It was also obvious that we had been forgotten. The pork sisig itself was a good portion but that's where it stopped being good... it was seemed undercooked as it was very fatty which left it not very nice to eat. I usually eat anything and everything but this time I left a fair bit on my plate. The rice was cold too and we didnt receive any glasses for our water, bit odd. We understand it's predominantly a seafood restaurant but we were put off by the fish as a fair few had cloudy eyes and looked like they had been sat out in the open on not much ice for a while, but thats definitely not a reason to overlook us. They also sprung on a 5% service charge at the end, despite us not actually receiving much service since the staff were so busy. The only reason we are giving 2 stars instead of 1 was because the gentleman next to us was told that his dish was late due to the fish not being good enough to serve to him. We thought this was decent and honest. Maybe we were...
