This is the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. We've got bedbugs in our bed and they only changed the sheets for us after we told them. We couldn't even get another bed. After another night and many bites we decided to check out. The owner, who was super disrespectful didn't even gave us a discount for the two horrible nights. Before we could even ask for a compromise, she called the police. All that drama and the bedbugs weren't the only thing. It was raining in the night and since the room has no glass windows, it rained all over my body, also because the roof wasn't waterproof. It's way too hot, because it has only one fan for one dorm and the showers are disgusting, there is only a small amount of water coming out, which is not enough for a shower. So all in all, the beds are the worst, the owner is super rude and hygiene is a unknown word there. I just want to warn you guys, that you don't make the same...
Read moreThe worst hostel experience of my life, absolutely sickening. So bad to the point where I had to check out into a hotel for a night. The beds were so unsanitary due to the no windows there were cockroaches, worms mosquitos ect in my bed… no air conditioning and one fan for a room of 5 I would wake up in an outline of my own sweat. And just a gap to the outside as a “window”. The bathrooms were atrocious. So dirty. Multiple times there were grasshoppers or spiders by the sink. Not once while staying here did I feel clean. No security. You can just walk in and out. (As there was no door to our room just a curtain) No where to put our bags so easily stolen. The list goes on. I honestly felt as though I was camping outside. To summarise I’ve never stayed in any hostel nearly as bad as this ever it truly can’t be put into words. On the positive side there was a...
Read moreDuring my stay there was a power shortage in the entire island (which made my experience way more challenging and fun). Although this occurring, Mi Casa was literally a place where I could call home. The atmosphere was amazing to meet new people. What impressed me the most was that there was always solutions for the problems: the room was hot (because no electricity no fan): the staff helped me move to upstairs where there is big windows; no hot water to cook my oats: the staff allowed me to use their gas cooker. This shortage was also a challenge for the locals and businesses and the Mi Casa staff was incredible with handling the situation the best they could. I want to send big love to Mammy that has the biggest heart and she was very helpful and kind 🧡 see you...
